What have I done? I wonder as Jehan and I walk to Zelia’s cabin. I do not want to be the captain. I do not know the first thing about commanding a ship. I just wanted the bickering to stop. It is not that I do not understand why Remy is acting this way. After what Jehan put us through, he has a rough time forgiving him. And I might have agreed with him if it was not for Francois. We had a long and honest conversation about Jehan and the events that transpired to make him act like that. I made a promise to Francois that I would never reveal that I know the truth. But maybe the time has come to inform Remy. If he could understand Jehan, he might be more forgiving.
“How is she doing?” I ask James where he is examining Zelia.
“Her fever is breaking, and she was awake earlier,” he
