“What happened at Charles Town?” I pry gently.
“Blackbeard commandeered a ship full of residents from Charles Town right at the harbour. He sends a message that he would execute all of them if the governor does not honour his demands. He wanted medicine. The governor agreed and Blackbeard send two of his sailors to collect it. However, they got drunk, and I overheard their conversation when they were bragging about their genius captain. That night, I boarded Blackbeard’s ship in secret. His sailors returned with the medicine and the prisoners were released. During that, I hid under Blackbeard’s bed. That night, while he was at dinner, I stole the medicine. Unfortunately, a sailor saw and identified me. He still hates me for that.”
