The meeting didn’t take long. Everyone agreed that we should wait on their next attack instead of instigating it. Well everyone except Carina.
As much as she wanted to go ahead and attack first, it was what they were expecting. They could be well prepared for us, and we should wait it out.
“I think you’re making a mistake, Trevor,” She says as we make our way to leave, and Trevor sighs. I walk with Rex towards our vehicle.
“Carina, we just went over this. If we’re making a mistake, we’ll fix it.”
“You’re a smart man,” she sighs, her gaze dropping to me before returning to him, “you’ve always been a smart man. Don’t let anyone sway your judgment.”
I raise an eyebrow, knowing she was through jabs.
