"We'll continue this topic in our next class," the Professor said, dismissing the class.
I exhaled in relief and started packing my stuff into my bag. Once I had put in my laptop, I rose to my feet and walked out onto the aisle of the lecture room. I descended the steps and left the room, feeling hungry.
As I walked through the noisy hallway, I heard someone calling my name. I paused and looked around me before looking over my shoulder. I didn't see anyone I knew and shrugged then continued walking toward the double doors up ahead.
Once I reached the doors, someone came into my line of vision and I stopped walking to look up. I saw Matt smiling at me and scratching his neck. I rolled my eyes and stepped aside, so I wasn't blocking the doors.
