Leon.
“What do you mean you couldn't kill her! Silas, she saw you and Law kill Felix. Do you know what that means?!” I barked, cutting the smoke from my cigar with one sharp motion. “If she talks, everything goes sideways. No way I’m risking a PR nightmare. You had just one job.”
Law smirked, pushing his glasses up.
“I told you to let me handle him. Silas has gone soft.”He remarked.
Silas didn’t flinch as he folded his hands.
“I have watched her for a week and last night I set up surveillance at her house. So far she's not said a word to anyone. I will not kill her and neither will any of you.” Silas stated.
I leaned back, on my chair. Missed kills were rare for Silas, as between all three of us he's the least merciful. Something about that woman must've made him stall and that makes her even more dangerous.
“I'll have Baron stage a robbery gone wrong and she will be in the middle of the cross fire.” I said.
“Very easy, it will leave no link to us.”Law nodded in approval.
Silas’s mouth quirked into something like a grin.
“Or you could just spare her life and instead make use of her in our own way. ”He said.
I glared at him, he's on to something.
“What use would a mere church girl like her serve?” Law asked.
“A new toy for us to have fun with. The last ones broke, we can't afford to waste money scouting for a new toy.” Silas adds.
“She’ll be useful. We'll mess with her, break her a little, and the rest will fall into place.” I let the words spill.
Law’s protest died in a half-smile. “Fine. But this is indulgent.”
“Not until we’re done having fun.” I tapped ash into the tray. “And don’t be reckless, no sloppy deaths this time.” I add.
Law flicked his lighter and raised his hand to toast. “To patience and new toy. ”
Our glasses clinged. The little bunny had no idea the wolves were watching.

Billie.
I got the job, there was no interview or background check. Just a two-line email: You’re hired, start tomorrow and wear black. The pay was ridiculously high, two hundred an hour.
I shoved my phone, lip balm, my lucky pen.
“You sure about this job, babe? What if it’s… sketchy?”Brian asked.
“It’s rich people money. We need it,” I said, zipping up my bag . “And it's better than Judy’s overbearing shifts.”
“ But still. It's too good to be true.” He said with a lot of doubt.
“We are just lucky. We could finally save up for a house and try IVF.”I assured holding his hands.
His shoulders softened at the thought of that. We have been trying for a baby, but I'm barren.
He sighed and kissed my cheek. “Fine. But if anything feels off, call me.”
I nodded, popped my daily pill, and swallowed it with a splash of water. It helps with migraines and nightmares. Keeping me steady enough.
I smiled, kissed him once more, and headed out. This job was our shot at a better life.

The mansion swallowed my car whole. I gasped as I drove. Ceiling to floor windows and lawns cut so perfectly. Security was ridiculous though. I had to pass five checkpoints before the gate finally eased.
As I eased past the last barrier, a crew in black uniforms hauled sealed crates into a truck. Seeing so many men in matching suits made my skin prickle. I brought my car to a halt.
A man in a charcoal suit tapped my window.
“This way, Miss Smith.”He said.
Inside the mega mansion, men in suits drifted through hallways. The guide stopped at a heavy office door and gestured I enter. Nervously holding my sling bag I entered.
My eyes widened at the sight of the man behind the desk.
I immediately recognized him as the man from the drive-through the other day. Up close, he was strikingly handsome.
He barely looked up from his desk, his lips formed a small smile.
“So you must be Billie Smith.” He said finally looking at me.
“Yes, sir.”I said, steadying my voice.
He rose, walked around the desk toward me and stopped an inch away.
“Hmm…indeed.”He muttered, nodding slowly.
“When can I start?”I asked.
His eyes navigated all over me. I had to look at myself to ensure I didn't look less professional.
I felt an urge to test whatever this man was. I told myself not to, but part of me wanted to see what happened if I stepped out of line. But not today, I needed this job. Brian and I wouldn't survive another fight about money.
He dropped a sleek black package on the desk.
“That’s your uniform. You’ll be cleaning Lilith. But first, sign this.”He said.
He slid a thick contract across the table with no explanation or small talk. His eyes slightly narrowed, it was a look that made me feel like he already owned me.
Desperation made me stupid and I signed.
When I opened the package, my jaw dropped.
It was a see through tiny tight top and a microscopic skirt. He went back to his seat, relaxing on it as he drank my reaction.
“This can’t be the uniform, sir. ” I said.
“It is.” He said stroking his jaw.
“It’s inappropriate. Kindly give me another uniform.”I answered, placing it on the desk.
“Beggers can't be choosers. Now go and make sure everything is spotless.”He dismissed me.
I swallowed the retort burning on my tongue took the so-called uniform and walked out.
I went upstairs turned right past several rooms and into an open bedroom. Likely his, judging from the cologne and the ridiculous orderliness. I opened the closet, grabbed one of his black shirts and a pair of shorts, that smelled just like him.
If he wanted a cheap slut, he picked the wrong maid.
I rolled up the sleeves, tied the hem at my waist. Then walked back downstairs and searched for the room labelled Lilith.
The moment I opened it, the scent of bleach gave me a nostalgic calm feeling. I could see myself in a cabin, with a single bed to the corner, a chair and a window overlooking the moon.
The image vanished as fast as it came.
I sh
ook my head, gripping the mop tighter.
“Time to earn my pay.” I muttered taking a deep breath.
