Summer passed, I worked hard in the lunchroom, spending my spare time with Ray in the music store for a jam session or enjoying nature, the sun and the water at the lake. Although it was not entirely possible, I tried to avoid my father as much as, though. Him, along with Oscar and Daphne.
None of them had said anything about that particular day, they hadn´t even tried to apologize. I came to a point where I no longer wanted them to. The humiliation had been enough that day. Admitting that it had hurt me immensely was something I didn't want to do either. Let along that I asked them for their apology. That was the other way around.
