"How long are you going outside for?" I asked Rylan as he shoved fruits inside a small pouch Elsa had brought to him this morning. He woke up and just said he was leaving, no prior notice whatsoever.
"It's just for a few days. I need to see what's outside these walls" he said, and I nodded. I couldn't express the emotions I was feeling, but I knew anger was not one of them. I was sad, scared even. I know what we faced together in the forest. Even though he had reassured me he wasn't going to that area, I still worried. Those things weren't normal creatures. What's to stop them from appearing outside the forest?
