As I applied the herbs Ashen prepared for me on the surface of the wound, my mind reached for him. What was he doing right now? How was he coping? Are the voices and shadows back or the s*x we have already cleared it all? Did he miss me and was he being sane?
I was feeling a lot better after his remedy and I wished I could thank him again, but I couldn't leave here yet until Rylan found us a place to stay. The mansion had been so tense, firstly with Kane avoiding me, and everyone asking how the baby was doing. It made me uncomfortable as they see me differently now.
As I wore my clothes, the door opened and Rylan came in. He was with a smile, better than the attitude he had been showing me for some days. I smiled too, maybe he had resolved his anger towards me.
