Chapter 40 – Explanations
Thia’s POV I woke bleary eyed, a crust almost gluing my eyes together. I could hear Hallie’s light whimpering cry, she can’t long have woken herself. I pulled back the bedcovers and made my way to her room. Just seeing her bright blue eyes light up when she see’s me, and the smile widen on her chubby cheeks, was enough to brighten my mood. I tried not to think about the heartache, I had hoped Freddie may have come to his senses. I did however, give myself a good talking too, if he came crawling back, I wasn’t going to make it easy for him, I would not allow him to do this to me again. If he did, then he would be right, I would deserve better than him. I was dreading going to Sunday dinner with the boys. I knew what they would say, and I wasn’t wrong. ‘He did what?’ Zeke was furious.
