Freddie’s POV My phone was beginning to annoy me. It was on its third consecutive vibrate, meaning someone was really trying to get hold of me, but if I walked out of this lecture to take the call, I was going to get slammed. The lad sitting next to me nudged me ‘Answer it or switch it off!’ apparently, I wasn’t the only one annoyed. ‘Sorry’ I muttered, reaching into my bag. I looked at it and had 3 missed calls from Mum, it started to ring again, and now worried, as she never called, I very ineloquently left the lecture hall to answer it. ‘Mum?’ ‘Oh Freddie! Thank God!’ she sounded upset and breathless. ‘Mum! What’s wrong?’ ‘It’s Thia, there had been a fire at her block of flats. She’s been taken to the hospital. They wouldn’t tell me anymore’ I could tell she had been crying
