I stare at her, taken aback by her question. This would've been the best time to tell her of my identity, this would've been the best time to let her who know I am, but I am scared of losing her. I am scared she won't be safe if she finds out now.
"What...what are you talking about?" I blink my eyes at her rapidly, but she sighs instead as she runs her fingers through her hair.
"I'm sorry about that. I think I've just been thinking a lot lately," She replies to me, and I slowly nod my head even though I know that it's something to be worried about.
