Chapter Seven My parents came and got me the next day. Michael was the one who called them, actually, because when the moment came, I found I didn’t have the nerve to say that I’d been returned the day before. The truth came out while he was on the phone, of course, but I figured my parents would have the entire drive up to Flagstaff to shake off their worry and anger. Well, some, anyway.
