Her Identity

Episode 2 : HER TRAINING JUST BEGAN

Adrianna fluttered her eyes open,confusion swept over her. A chandelier hung in the ceiling that emanated soft lights.

She looked down and found herself tucked beneath comfortable blue silk sheets. She scanned the room,not recollecting how she got there or where she was.

The bed she was lying on was massive. Breeze fluttered the blue lace drapes of the windows bringing in the aroma of lilacs and lavender. On her left were huge armoires that were crafted beautifully with dragons and vines.

She turned her head to the right and found lavish couches in blue fabrics. She licked her lips. The last thing she remembered was her parents death and the last words her father mentioned before he died.

She started crying silently not able to believe that someone could do such a thing to her family.

"Adrianna...." someone called out,she looked towards the door and was surprised to see her grandfather and also Zaki.

Her grandfather, Alexander Von Drake,a very powerful man who is extremely dangerous. He has a dangerous aura which always follows him where ever he goes and that is why he is feared the most in every country he has been to.

His cold expressionless face and intimidating aura was always seen by people but he is usually soft and calm when he is around his family.

He is among the secret ultra rich people. A very powerful man,who is the owner of a large corporation.

He is the richest man in Eastern Asia. He is an ultra rich billionaire, only his money can make the entire universe bow down to him. He was once a chairman in the military but he is now a retired soldier.

He is at the highest echelon of power,influencing both politics,military and business not only in his country but also in neighbouring countries.

"Grandfather", Adrianna called with her shaking voice.

" Adri, everything is going to be okay. Am here and you are now with me",her grandfather said while hugging her and rubbing her back smoothly.

"The Adrianna I know isn't a cry baby", Zaki cautioned. He was also trying hard to hold back his tears cause Adrianna's parents where like the parents he never had.

Zaki is an orphan who was abandoned by the road side after birth. He was seen by Alexander while he was returning from a political meeting. He took Zaki home and asked the maid to take care of him.

When Zaki turned a month old,he adopted him as his son.

Alexander never had a male child. His wife gave birth to only Rebecca before she died of a disease that wasn't discovered on time. It was only discovered when it has reached the last stage and couldn't be cured.

Since then,he took care of his daughter himself and never bothered with getting remarried again.

It was during Rebecca's college life that she met Edward and they both became lovers before getting married. Rebecca's identity was a secret to everyone but only known to Edward.

People thought that she was an orphan who bewitched the handsome Edward Edward in sleeping with her and forcing him to get married to her.

When Zaki was adopted, he was so much loved by Rebecca before she finally gave birth to Adrianna a month later.

"I can't stop crying, Zaki. I watched my parents die in cold blood,not even their bodies were saved. They were burnt to ashes". Adrianna sobbed even louder. Zaki who was standing by the doorway,walked towards her and rubbed her long black hair softly.

" I know. We are going to avenge their death. I promise you",Zaki said with a clenched jaw.

Adrianna only nodded with a determined face. She stood up from the bed and walked towards the window. Her hair flowed as the wind blew on her face.

She turned and looked at her grandfather with the same cold aura that her grandfather emitted whenever he is in a meeting.

"I think my training starts now", Adrianna said coldly while using the back of her hand to wipe the tears off her face roughly.

" That's my Adri",Alexander said with a nod.

"Grandpa,I'm only Adrianna to the both of you but to the rest of the world I'm Anna Von Drake .B. This is the new me". Adrianna's voice was cold that makes one's spine to shiver in fear. Her eyes sparkled as she smiled evilly.

Zaki who stood there watching her,smiled happily." We will show them that we are not to be messed with",he spoke up looking serious.

Alexander stared at his two grandchildren with heartache. His eyes red with tears threaten to fall down. If you take a closer look at him,you will notice that his hair has turned really gray and he has aged the more just last night.

He looks strong in front of his grandchildren and people around him but no one noticed that he cried really hard last night. Rebecca was his only child left with him by his wife but then she was taken away by the wickedness of men.

His granddaughter who is yet to see how the world is lost her parents at such a tender age and now she has to take the burden of her death parents. Isn't this heartbreaking, he thought as he looked at Adrianna's once cheerful face but now it is covered with the layer of ice. Her face really cold that it doesn't suit a young girl of her age.

He smiled bitterly at himself. He had all the money in the world but he couldn't use it to save his dying wife back then. And now his daughter was also killed and burnt together with her husband, he couldn't do anything to save them as well.

He looked at his granddaughter and thought to himself, will she ever smile again, will she ever be happy in this life. Perhaps only when she takes revenge that's when her mind and heart can be at peace and she will be happy again. He hopes.
