The darkness in the Mayfair penthouse felt heavy and hard to breathe in. Hazel rolled around on the silk bedsheets, her head moving left and right against the pillows. In her sleep, the golden mirrors of the bridal shop surrounded her again. But this time, she couldn't move. She watched, trapped in her own bad dream, as the white wedding dress slipped off her shoulders and fell to the floor. Suddenly, the cold mirrors changed. They were replaced by the dark, rich walls of the New York hotel room. Large, warm hands touched her waist.
