Toxic Love

Chapter 07

After leaving home, Jason went to his office. He entered into the police station he was posted at and went to his desk. He was already angry at everything. He was angry at the fact that Sarah still have feelings for Roy.

What are you thinking man??? His colleague John Lee sked.

John Lee was Jason’s batch mate and close friend. He knew Jason for a long time and knew him very well. He was also there when Jason shot Roy.

Nothing. I was about to leave. I had to take few files. Jason replied and explained him.

I know what you’re thinking. I’ll take care of Adam’s murder case in your absence. Dude just go without worries. He gritted.

I am not worried about the case, I am worried about Sarah. She still have feelings for that bastard. He told her something. I am afraid what he had told her. Jason shared his worries with his friend.

John frowned.

You don’t have to worry about anything. He is dead. I am sure he is not alive. He can’t dodge his death this time. You know the height of that cliff. John tried to comfort Jason.

I know he is dead. He gritted.

After thinking something for a moment Jason asked John about the case file and progress about finding Roy’s body. It was making him uncomfortable that still after two days, search teams were unable to find the dead body.

After an hour, Jason left for airport with John. After arriving at airport, Jason instructed John to keep an eye on Sarah because he knew her very well. Jason knew that Sarah would definitely try to do something on her own. He was sure that Roy had told her something.

After arriving at airport, he found a black car waiting for him. The man in black suit was sitting at the back seat. Jason sat in the car and they left the airport. During their journey to hotel they had a serious conversation. The man in suit was Harrison, Roy’s second half brother. He dropped Jason at Police headquarters and left.

Roy’s father Mr. Dior was billionaire businessman but was not a family man. His first wife Diana Frankstein, Adam’s and Harrison’s mother died in car accident. She was a daughter of a renowned politician and businessman. He married her due to her status and money. During his marriage, he didn’t stop playing around and had multiple affairs. After she died, he married Roy’s mother, Ruby Austin. He married her to get her father’s business as she was more interested in arts and was only child. After her father passed away, she had no one to rely on, Mr. Dior gave her support. When his first wife died, he married her. But in just few months he took control of her company as well. After just 5 years of marriage, Mr. Dior divorced her because the Frankstein family was not agreed for this marriage and to get all the inheritance of his deceased wife, he divorced Ruby. He had two children from Ruby, Roy and a daughter Anna, who was two years younger than Roy. She knew her husband doesn’t love her or children and have affairs with other women as well. She quietly left the house and accepted everything as fate.

Roy’s mother, despite of all the hurdles, she took good care of her children. She had nothing to start with, she did odd jobs, worked hard and raised Roy and Anna. Adam and Harrison were 10 and 7 years older than Roy but they never acknowledged Roy and Anna as their siblings. After divorce, to avoid problems with Frankstein family, Ruby changed her children’s surname to Austin. Even Mr. Dior didn’t care about his own flesh and blood and kicked them out. They had no emotions regarding their father except hatred. Adam and Harrison made their lives hell even after leaving the house and changing their surnames. Their father was aware of everything but he never did anything to stop them or help Roy and his sister even though they were his own children. 

A black car stopped outside a tall building. Harrison stepped out of his car and entered in the building. Everyone greeted him on the way to elevator. He and his assistant entered in elevator, Harrison instructed his assistant about a contract and on his desired floor, when he got out of elevator, and he saw the portrait of his father and stopped in front of it. He looked at the portrait of his father and said in mind, “Dad finally you are dead. You are no longer in this world. Your business was more beloved to you, now you are not here anymore. This company, the people who were loyal to you, everything is mine now. I am the only owner of everything that you owned.  You’re gone Dad, You’re gone.”

He entered in office. His uncle John Frankstein was waiting for him inside the office. “Why are you late?”

“I am sorry uncle, there was a traffic jam.” Harrison replied and sit on the CEO’s chair.

John Frankstein was Diana Frankstein’s younger brother. When his sister died, he was the one who took care of his nephews personally. He knew very well that their father is irresponsible father so he took care of their education as well. When Mr. Dior married again, he was the one who forced him to divorce Ruby. He was a kind person but his love for his nephews made him ruthless. HE made sure to make Ruby and her children’s lives hell. They finally left the city.
