“Stay back,” Suki warned.
Hyakuhei laughed in a sinister manner before raising his hand and sweeping it to the side in one fluid motion. Suki went flying across the clearing and clipped a tree before landing hard on the ground. She groaned in pain and didn’t get up.
“Suki!” Shinbe called out and fought against his weakened state trying to pull himself to her side.
Kyoko stared at Hyakuhei with wide eyes and started crawling back away from his approach. He suddenly looked bigger than life and it frightened her. How had he been able to beat all five of them at the same time? Did she give him that power? Was it just one more thing she for which would forever hold the blame? She was already so weak… she couldn’t fight him alone! Kyoko’s bottom lip trembled as she stared up at him.
