“This has been a freaky couple of days.” Suki commented, resting her head on his shoulder.
Shinbe nodded, “I have to agree.”
“What exactly did we see tonight?” Suki asked.
“I don’t know Suki.” He wondered why it felt like he was lying. Running a hand through his midnight blue bangs his lips thinned… he was lying.
Suki lifted her head and saw him staring blankly at the wall as if he were a million miles away. “What’s wrong?” That faraway look in his amethyst eyes scared the hell out of her and she suddenly wanted him back.
Shinbe smiled and leaned down to kiss her forehead. “Nothing my dear Suki, get some sleep. I’ll make myself comfortable on the sofa.”
Suki felt the sudden urge to call him back when he looked over his shoulder, smiled, then winked before leaving the bedroom.
