As our pleasure built, his grip tightened, and soon he was helping me move, holding me down against him and thrusting up. We moved together in a rhythm as old as time itself, our bodies joined in a primal dance. As I rode him, I felt our connection growing inside us. Wesley was the alpha and I was his female, and together we made each other stronger. Wesley must have felt it too, because his eyes were wide, staring at me with awe. “Can you feel it?” Wesley asked as he ground my hips down on his c**k. “The mate bond strengthening?” "I feel it." The pleasure built until it was almost too much to bear, but I couldn't look away. It was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. "I've never felt anything like it before." He groaned at that, and I leaned down and grabbed onto his shoulders, needing something to hold onto, to ground me in this moment as the pleasure threatened to drag me away. He wrapped his arms around me as our animal nature took over, and his teeth clamped down on my neck. He kept thrusting up as he marked me as his mate, and a mix of pain and pleasure sent me over the edge. I let out a long howl as my p***y clenched around his c**k, and his movements grew wild and rough in response. I sank my teeth into his shoulder in return, and then we were both coming, shuddering and gasping as the pleasure consumed us. Together we collapsed onto the rug in front of the fireplace, with his c**k still buried inside of me. My breath and heartbeat slowed, and I snuggled closer to him, putting my head on his chest. "My mate," he said. "Always," I answered. CHAPTER FIVE Wesley stroked a hand through my hair and pressed a kiss to my forehead. The crackle of the fire and the howling wind outside were the only sounds for a few minutes as we caught our breath. “Are you warmed up now?” he asked. I nuzzled against him. "Yes, much better." He let out a soft laugh. “I can’t believe you came to find me in the middle of a snowstorm.” "I was worried about you, out here all alone by yourself with no supplies. My plan was to bring you back to Kaden's place, but you see how well that went." "I couldn't believe it when I heard you howl. I thought I must be imagining things at first, but then I caught your scent.” He tightened his arms around me. "But I'm glad you're here." "Me too." I sat up and glanced around. I’d hardly looked around the cabin when I first came in since all I had eyes for was Wesley, but it wasn’t as bad as Kaden had made it out to be. Sure, it was outdated, but it wasn’t like it had holes in the roof or anything. Wesley would have been fine here on his own. But if I hadn’t come looking for him, this may have never happened. Through the windows, I could see that night had fallen, and I realized how late it had gotten. Panic shot through me at the realization that I'd left Adriana with other people all this time, and that the storm must be getting worse with each passing second. "Oh s**t," I said, scrambling to my feet. "Can I use your phone?" Wesley frowned but got up and passed me his phone without asking why. I dialed Stella, but after a few moments of dead air, the call dropped. I pulled it away from my ear to check that it wasn’t dead and saw the words no service flashing in the top corner. “Of course,” I muttered. Fine. We'd have to try to get back on foot, as wolves. It would be miserable, but we could do it. But when I opened the front door, a huge pile of snow fell through and landed on my feet, followed by freezing wind that instantly stole away any warmth I had left. The blizzard was raging, and I could barely see three feet in front of the door. “Mira,” Wesley said, coming up behind me. “There’s no way we’re getting out in that. We’re snowed in.” "We have to try." I closed the door again and leaned against it. "They'll be worried sick about us, and I need to make sure Adriana is okay. Surely if we take it slow, we can make it back to the car.” "And then what?" Wesley pulled me away from the pile of snow beside the door. "It's not safe outside right now. Our best bet is to stay here overnight, and in the morning when the sun is out we'll be able to dig our way out and make it back to town." "But what about Adriana?" I asked, panic rising in my stomach. "I've never spent a night away from her before, and I told Stella and Jordan I would be back." “She’s fine,” Wesley wrapped an arm around me and led me back toward the fire. “I know you're worried, but Adriana is surrounded by people who will take good care of her. You'll see her tomorrow, and in the meantime, we should try to relax and enjoy our new mate bond.”I sighed. He was right, as much as I didn’t want to admit it. There really wasn’t anything we could do, but it didn’t change the fact that I felt like the worst mother ever for leaving Adriana behind. I trusted Stella and Jordan with my life, but they had no idea how Adriana's bedtime ritual went, or what foods she liked for dinner, and did they even know how to change a diaper? I felt guilty about abandoning my baby with them for such a long time and worried Adriana would be upset that I was gone so long.
