Harsh Reality

Darius pov. I paced about the room, my head in my hands, and round and round while Liora sat staring blank at the ceiling. “ How could she have suspected? And how could I have gotten hold of the materials required to check for this dna stuff?!” I groaned and she sighed. “ I can't seem to think of it as any hot or okay! Something has to be done and it has to be done quickly. This house is falling down crashing while all you're doing is perambulating. I would not have been in this condition if only you respected your wife and kept to yourself on the night before the eve of your own wedding. How disgusting!” I paused and slowly turned to her. “ Woman, you have to be aware of the fact that you are taking in a bit more than you can chew right now and it is not the best for you. Cause tell me why you are hell bent on painting this as my problem, meanwhile if i am to remember correctly, you also wouldn't have been in this condition if you weren't a w***e from your past life. Or if you also had respect for marriage or whatever. Cause you slept with a married man for money, while I slept as a married man for satisfaction!” I cleared my throat, “ two sinners, two sins, and you dare not judge me for sinning differently or in a way that doesn't please you. You are in no place to clarify me on the rights and the wrongs.” I spat out and tried to head for the door when a knock came on. “ Who's there? Come in whatever!” The door slowly opened revealing one of the guards. He bowed slightly before me, then bowed slightly before her. “ My lord sir Darius, it has come to our notice that Selene is on her way out of the house. She has failed to comply or yield to any of our restraining orders.” I scoffed, “ there it goes, publicly dumping me into the thrash can and any chance of me fixing this issue to perfection is defeated.” I turned to the guard. “ How dare she turn on me? She is softer than that! What else is the news?” I slowly walked to him, my eyes shining as I spoke, and he nodded his head “ Yes sir that's true, we didn't think it was important, but actually she seemed to have been championed by her mother.” I paused and closed my eyes for a while “ What do you mean?” He cleared his throat, “ yes sir. The both of them apparently are leaving together, and it should seem that the mother is the one championing the whole departure especially as you have confirmed that she on her own will not be capable of making such dangerous decisions.” I snapped immediately, “ what dangerous decisions? Why is it dangerous? You see this is the reason why it seems like I am always on the bad side or on the bad books for things. Cause tell me how the f**k will you think a decision of leaving me after i did such a terrible thing to her will be a dangerous move? That is so horrible to say, and in no way does it justify who truly and truly I am.” I turned to face liora who shook her head in pity. “ Leave now!” I ordered, and the guard bowed, leaving and shutting the door Walking up to Liora, “ hey Liora. Pardon me but as far as i know my heart has something that seems divine and unusual with your heart, i still think that what we have done is so wrong and extremely not cool. I can no longer feel comfortable with all of this anymore. I have to play my games right this time around and hope that she doesn't take this too far to warrant a divorce A divorce right now will tarnish my image and trust me a tarnished image is not something I would love to be the case with me. I derive great pride in my prestige.” She chuckled, “ if you are all principles and decent like your words claim, then why in the first place are you in sich a mess?” I placed my hands on my waist and sighed, staring at her while she also stared back into my eyes, her eyes gradually getting wet. Yeah she was right enough to say or feel however she did or felt. She was well within her rights to do such. We had this unmistakable bond for each other It was the mate bond, and each and every minute or second I spent with her always felt like the best. Just so unfortunate that we hadn't yet come across each other way earlier until now that it had to cost us almost a fortune and a good legacy. “ I'm leaving. Do whatever you have to do to make sure you control all of this s**t. I'll be leaving you as soon as possible, we were never married so the divorce shouldn't scare you probably. But just know you ruined my life” “ No no no, Liora you cannot possibly say this! This is so rude of you to say honey. Look I love , I just professed it, please don't…” She slammed the door behind her and I immediately scoffed and hit the door behind her. “ f**k you, you mother fucker, go to hell! I don't need you! Yeah you heard me right, go to f*****g hell i dont care, you stink!” I walked over to the mirror, watching the tear drops slowly formed and a huge feeling of revolt right inside of me. “ You dare not attempt this silky behavior right now. You have no reason to cry or feel bad about whatever you did what you thought was best, the hoe had a hard time accepting the loss from her business. You avoided such stores and that is why you ended up paying her this much just to make sure stories like this never came up. She still failed..” “ Shut up!” I yelled, and slowly took my seat. Just then my phone rang from the desk 2 meters away. I stared at it for quite some time hoping that for some reason it was calling. Reaching over to get it, I got stuck staring at the dialer. “ Dr Ambosino” He was my lawyer, and almost never called unless there was something quite important.
