Liora is working at Claudette’s hotel when her phone keeps beeping with notifications. It begins interrupting her focus repeatedly.
At first, she ignores it, assuming it is routine communication or some background noise she can address later.
But the persistent beeping and notifications break her concentration enough that she finally checks it.
What she saw immediately starstruck her. It shifts her attention away from work entirely; her lips drop open.
It is not a message or a call.
It is a bank notification. Then another. Then several more.
At first, the information does not fully register.
She reads it once, then again, slower, then louder, getting side eyes from her colleagues.
