Liora POV I walked away from his sight with dignity after ordering me out of his house. I wasn’t ready to ask for his mercy and get a guilt trip about my decision to save my sister's life or make him see from my perspective. I walked down to the room, picked up a few things, booked a ride to my old neighborhood, and left the mansion without looking back. I rented a small motel room. That's inexpensive—not compared to the mansion I was used to, yet I felt an inner peace. I chose here so no one will find out about my whereabouts. The room is far from comfortable, but it provides me with privacy and peace. Alone for the first time in a long while, it gives me this serenity. Thoughts of everything that transpired in the past started hitting me hard: my sister, my husband, my late child.
