Liora’s pov
Coming back from the hectic day at work and feeling really weak.
“ Hey, could you come pack this vehicle properly? I feel really dizzy right now i need to rest, thank you.”
I smiled at one of the guards as he stepped forward while I stepped out.
He stared at me for quite some time and only when I looked up at him did he shift his gaze to the car, and drove off while I walked into the building and to my suite.
Walking up the stairs I bumped into Ravenna.
“ Hey ma'am good day.”
I paused to exchange pleasantries, even against my will.
But to my utmost surprise.
“ Hi honey, how are you feeling? I trust you really are going through the whole journey with the right manual.”
She pointed at the belly and I chuckled, still shocked from her unusual decent reply to me.
I shrugged, “ my first time so, I'm not too sure.
But hopefully yeah i am just on the right track."
She smiled and nodded her head
“ Allright then, take care of yourself and the unborn child, I need to inspect the whole area today and take observations.
You know these are my duties as the head of it all.”
I smiled as she spoke and nodded my head.
“ Wow i really appreciate that. Quite a nice thing to do, I really appreciate you being in our lives."
She chuckled and waved at me as she walked away.
I sighed slowly ascending the stairs and occasionally looking back at her.
“ Oh okay, now that's weird and unexpected.”
I mumbled to myself and shrugged, walking away.
I opened the door to my suite, walking through the suite, and walking down the hallway, I couldn't help but perceive the scent of the same perfume I had perceived a few minutes ago on Ravenna’s body.
I paused, slowly turning to the mirror and looking into it I laughed it off.
“ Nah I'm tripping. Could have been anything else honestly. I've stayed around her long enough for her scent to become dominant against mine.”
I shrugged while walking into my bedroom, and I could feel quite uncomfortable.
I paced about trying to figure what it was, but to no avail and I immediately threw myself on the bed.

Ravenna's pov
“ Hello doctor”
“ The results are in. You can come over to the hospital now to have them”
I immediately smiled, “ it's game day.
You either go home, or go meet your kind.
In hell”
Chuckling, I put on some jewellery and dusted my face while staring at the mirror.
“ Here are the results ma.”
I was handed the envelope, my face expressionless as I tried to open it.
“ Er excuse me ma you might just want to get that done at your place in your home.
That will be better. We don't want your reaction to be explosive and cause harm in any way, so I advise you to go home to open it and properly have a look at it. Possibly with your daughter and her husband.”
I nodded. With a smile as I took the file to leave.
Getting into the car I shut the door.
“ Francis out now!”
I ordered and the driver stepped out of the vehicle.
I opened the file and brought out the results, anticipation building in my chest, until my eyes hit the words.
“Yes”
I should have felt satisfied and happy almost immediately, especially as this is what I had wanted
Darius was the father of the child the useless girl was carrying.
But jubilating over something that had the potential to ruin the life of my daughter didn't seem like the right thing to do.
I heaved a huge sigh and knocked on the window to signal the driver.
Home now, I bumped into Selene.
“ Hey baby girl, how have you been? Haven't seen you since today.”
She chuckled, “ yeah true me too.
You went out, didn’t you?”
I nodded,still smiling and gripping the file quite tight.
She looked straight to my hand, “ hmm and what is that? You acquired a new property?”
I was speechless, and tried to speak but lost my voice temporarily.
Chuckling nervously i replied at her now smiling face.
“ Er.. you know how your mother moves.
Like a thief in the night.
I have actually landed it yet, but we are in for a court session already.
Should be mine soonest.”
I winked and she smiled.
She cleared her throat, “ mum there is something I really need to talk to you about.
I know you know what I am about to talk about, but still it doesn't matter.”
I sighed and rolled my eyes at her, the urge to throw a punch at her.
How could she be so clueless as to what was going on?
“ No mum, listen to me. She is pregnant! She did nothing wrong to any of us, she is a sweet soul to all of us, all she ever does is good things with us, And trust me i am a huge fan of paying people back in their coin.
Mum please can you give her a chance? Just for a little while, at least till she puts to bed.
Amd honestly i think you both will be good by then”
She chuckled and i held my face in my palm, anger brewing really hot in me.
I raised my hand at her.
“You know what Selene?”
She was startled, “ what mum?”
“ Enough of this conversation, I am done discussing that evil who found a way into my home.
My advice to you is to watch your back. Especially those you call your friends.”
She chuckled as i walked away.
“ Yeah fine i know you never believe in people
I'll trust her, and I'll let you be the first to see when it will end in joy!”
I shook my head, heading right up to my room.
“ Hey ma'am good day.
The gender reveal has been arranged, all the items and venue have all been put to place and you can now come to inspect the work.”
I nodded, not giving the maid any time to say anything further.
Sitting in the cellar a glass in my hand and the file on the table as i was thinking of the best way to break the news.
Just then. I remembered the maid who had come earlier to inform me of the preparation.
I smiled and took a gulp of the wine, staring into blank space in the distance.
