Chapter 7

Micha’s POV

(7hours earlier)

I was down stairs in the kitchen making breakfast for my brother and I since I’m an early riser between the two of us.... Our Manor doesn’t have maids or butlers just a housekeeper that’s comes twice a week and a few bodyguards....My brother and I don’t like  having the house filled with strangers so Dad made sure to keep that to a minimum.....

Our Dad is hardly home as his always working and traveling around the world but makes sure his home for the important holidays like Birthdays,Christmas and Thanksgiving but other than that we hardly see him.....

It doesn’t really bother us that his hardly home we know he dived into his work ever since mom left us, I guess he uses work as a distraction from the pain of loosing the love of his life..He says we look like our mother and have her smile that it hurts him sometimes, he tells us not to hate our mother that she was just going through a lot and maybe having kids was just too much for her...

Zeus just gets angry when he hears this he hates our mother for leaving us and breaking Dads heart... We used to be a happy family, Dad would come early and cook for us and then we would have movie night... All those lil things stopped when mom left, we haven’t even had Dads cooking since.. Zeus said mom was just a gold digger that loved the lavish life, the shopping and the popularity but when she had us it changed she had to be home more and play house which she hated but just tolerated it for Dads sake that’s until she couldn’t anymore...

We all know where she is, but never bothered to contact her or anything Dad says she will come back and Zeus says she is not welcome that Dad should just move on and find a woman that’s pure inside out and not driven by money or power.. I don’t know what to feel , because I know my mother hated that she had kids and her life had to slow down but I miss her and having her back wouldn’t be so bad right?

At the same time I know she doesn’t deserve my Dads love and loyalty, he might be a powerful man and has his hands dirty in some businesses we own but when it came to mom and us his a big softy so he deserved much better than my mother.....

Zeus changed after mom left he laughed less  and became more mean toward everyone except me and Dad... He believed love and emotions left you broken and wanted nothing to do with it..... I was broken too when mom left  but I’m the one that showed it whilst Zeus bottled up his feelings and stepped up to be there for us and ever since then we have been very close....

His always been my anchor and I know whatever feelings I have for him are not how brothers should feel toward one another... But I couldn’t help it cause when mom left dad came home less and less and it was only me and Zeus in this big mansion so we would try make something to eat and watch tv.... When we went to bed I would have nightmares of that day when we came home to an empty house and a crying father...

Zeus would come in my room and comfort me and we would fall asleep together and ever since we would sleep in the same bed because I didn’t want him to leave like she did..  I guess she brought the insecurity in all of us...

I checked the time to find it’s  seven thirty and quickly placed waffles, eggs and bacon in two sets of plates putting them at the dining table and went up the stairs to wake up Zeus...

I open the door and approach the bed to shake him awake, he doesn’t even budge... He has always been a deep sleeper, I shake more aggressively while calling his name....

“What?” I hear his raspy voice clearly still sleepy

“Wake up and come down stairs to have breakfast and get ready for school we don’t want detention again” I tell him pulling the covers

He sits up scratching his head and yawing, his muscles flex a lil at the movement of his hand and I find myself ogling at him... Zeus is a bit bigger and stronger than me but I do also have muscles of my own I’m just a lil lean...

I clear my throat turning to leave the room coming downstairs to sit at the dining table and start eating without him....

He comes down and pulls a chair to immediately dive into the plate in-front of him and clears it within minutes....

“Your welcome “ I say rolling my eyes.. He just smiles at me and stares at me eating

“What?” I ask him I hear him sigh and I know what his about to tell me I won’t like ...

“I invited Jennifer to come over later” he tells me and I stop chewing to stare at him...

Jennifer has always been obsessed with both Zeus and me she wants be our girlfriend but I’m not interested however looks like Zeus is....
