System

"Hahhh," Allen expressed as he sat on his creaking bed. "I really need to get some money; I can't live here forever," he said while staring at his room. "Now to the system, system!" he called out, and a crimson red system interface appeared, being transparent but still visible. He began to inspect its features ---- - Name: Allen - Class: None - Level: 1 // Exp: 0/100 - Vitality: 35 // HP: 350/350 - Magic power: 100 // MP: 1000/1000 // Regen: 25 MP per minute - Strength: 22 - Agility: 20 - Defense: 26 - Intelligence: 25 - Endurance: 21 ---- [Stat points: 0] ---- Spirit essence: 20 [0/200] [Allows the user to bind weapons or equipments to their soul] ---- |Quest: 1| ---- >Origin Skills< • Dragon flame [Lvl 1]: Able to create and manipulate flames, created from your mana. "And what sort of skill is dragonification?" Such a skill was really beyond abnormal. While he was still pondering what he was doing in possession of a mage-type skill, he received a call from Jackie. "Dude, I just got info on what tomorrow's class is going to be about," Jackie said in his usual joyous tone. "And what is it?" Allen asked. "Tomorrow, we are gonna have a practical class; we will be dungeon diving," he replied. "Isn't that too early for recent system awakeners?" "I know, right? But I think it is as a result of the recent increase in dungeon appearance and the frequent beast tide, so I think they won't be as lax and easy-going as the previous years." "That must be true. So they want us to grow strong enough to aid the city against those dimension threats." "Not only that, but I heard that they will be giving out huge cash prizes and skill-rune to those who top the class." "I know this is all good, but where did you get this information?" "You don't have to worry. I have my source, Jackie said. Shortly after, they both hung up, renewed with new info. He quickly called and quit his part-time job. "Now," he said while he let out a sigh. "System," he summoned at will. "Let's see what this transformation can do," he said as he activated his draconic transformation. A crimson red aura rose up from the floors and began to spin around him, eventually covering him. Shortly after the spinning red mist dispersed, revealing Allen clad in blood-red scales, wings sprouting out from his back. His pupil had changed to dark red with vertical slits in it. His physique had become more muscular. "This power," he said, feeling power surging from his body. He felt like he could conquer any challenge in his path, but he knew it was just an illusion of power. Just then he looked at his mana. -10 -10 -10 Noticing how fast his MP dropped, he quickly canceled the transformation, reverting back to his normal body. All the power disappeared. He began to feel a little exhausted because he wasn't used to such mana-consuming activity. "Let me just rest a bit," he said and fell onto his bed. In that same moment, he fell asleep .... The next morning, 'yawnn,' he expressed while he stood up from the bed. "What happened? When did I fall asleep?" he muttered, a little flustered. 7:04, he checked the time. He got up to get some water. Just when he grabbed the glass, it shattered, surprising him a little. "What just happened? Why did it feel so light and fragile?" While glancing at the shattered pieces of glass on the floor. He felt strength coursing through his veins. He looked at his cracked mirror, and he saw that his muscles had become more intricate; his flat stomach had now become rock-hard abs, he also gained some inch in height bringing it to about 185 cm. He looked at his face, and he almost fell in love with himself. His face had become so charming, he was starting to get that Sung-jin-woo drip. "What the hell happened to me?" he questioned, scanning other areas of his body. But just before he could note all his changes, his stomach suddenly interrupted him, growling because he didn't eat the night before. "Time to make some cup noodles," he said while he went to his stash and brought out two cup noodles, added some hot water, spices, and waited until it was just right. "Slurp, slurp," he began to gobble down the noodle, and in less than a minute, he finished the noodles. "Hahh," he sighed in satisfaction and drank some water. After resting a bit, he was done. He performed his daily practice: brush, bath, dress, and meet up with Jackie. "Dude, you look different today. Anyways, during the dungeon dive, let's move together, so I can protect you," he said while bragging about how cool his Runic golem system. "Sure, anyways, did you feel any changes after waking up?" Allen inquired. "Oh yeah, I felt a burst of Mana, and I felt unusually energized after I woke up." "Okay," Allen replied before they quickened their pace. Upon arrival at school, everyone began to stare at him, being unable to recognize the new face at school. "Who is that?" they questioned, but one person suddenly spoke up. "Isn't that Allen?, I guess they look alike, but how did he change so much overnight." "He looks so handsome," the girls expressed, "but what system did he awaken?" they said, hoping it could be a good system so they could throw themselves at him. "I heard he awakened a Lizard system." "What a waste, all handsome but no talent," they continued to murmur, but he just ignored them. Soon he and Jackie arrived at their class and found a seat at the corner of the class. Shortly after, a black-haired woman walked into the class elegantly, and the air seemed to shift in her presence. Her ethereal beauty wasn't just in the delicate curve of her porcelain features, with her putting on a white jacket along with a black skirt, perfectly showcasing her elegant body, and it was none other than Professor Amelia, who is a Platinum rank systemholder. She awakened the blood queen system which could rival even diamond rank systemholders Settle down class, today we will be performing a practical class, dungeon diving to be discreete, but first i know some of you may be confused about how your system works so i will talk on this topic, before dungeon diving. Every murmured a little, isn't dungeon diving on the first day a bit rushed, I know right but why, but Amelia interrupted the murmur with a snap which became loud enough to attract everyone attention. Ok firstly, Name, which is self explanatory so no need to go further, then class, when one reaches level 10, one would get the chance to select classes, which are vital for future progress, to change classes the system will issue a quest ranging from F to SSS rank with it's difficulty higher than the last. So you will have to select one to complete and upon completion it will determine what rank you will get, along with other benefits. Next is experience value, this is gained when one defeats beasts and monsters, which increase level upon maximization. Vitality, this simply represents life force, once it reaches zero, you die. Magic power, represent mana quantity, this is also crucial for mage-type systemholders. It is basically fuel for skills. Strength represents physical capabilities, such as lifting strength and attack power. Agility represents movement speed and reaction speed. Defense is resistance against physical and magical attacks. Intelligence affects the ability to use magical abilities or skills such as mana control, magic amplification, magic damage and cast time. The stronger the spell, the longer it takes to cast. "Stat points are gained from leveling up or quests. Depending on your system rank, the stat points gained per level will vary. For iron-ranked system holders, it's 10 stat points, for bronze, 12 stat points, for silver, 15 stat points, for gold, 18 stat points, for platinum, 20 stat points, for diamond, 25 stat points, and for mystic, 30 stat points. However, know that the higher the rank of the class, the harder it is to level up after level one." Allen couldn't help but wonder about the amount of stat points he would get and the experience requirement to level up. He then focused his attention back on the teacher. "Most recent awakeners have an average attribute point of around 10 to 15, while there are rare cases of it being up to 18." This baffled Allen. Not only were his averages twenty and above, but his magic power was in the triple digits. "As well as spirit essence, a very vital part of a system holder. It represents the limit of weapons and armor equipment." Now to the most important ones. Did any of you wonder why you saw origin skill instead of just skills? Firstly, you need to understand that origin skills are abilities bestowed by a system, and it is always unique in its way, they will grow with you. Skills, on the other hand, are abilities gained from the core essence of beasts and monster but people of nowadays prefer to call it skill rune. If you are confused, core essence is the condensation of soul power near the heart of beasts once slain, though it happens rarely, which is why core essence is expensive. "Also, make sure never to tell anyone about any information about your system." "Now, to an important aspect: affinities. This will determine what type of skill you will be able to learn. If one has fire affinity, they will only be able to learn fire-type skills. But don't worry, your affinity will always correlate with your system. One can only awaken one affinity, but there are possibilities of awakening two affinities, though very rare. Only those from gold rank and upward have ever been recorded to have over one affinity." Allen continued to gulp down as he looked at his system, which possessed all known affinities. "If anyone finds out, I am as good as a lab experiment." "Now, below it are sub-affinities, which represent advanced forms of the basic elements. Fire to lightning, water to ice, earth to lava, and air to sound, but there are high chances of getting it if you already have the basic affinity." "Finally, to the rarest of all affinities: deviant affinity. These are extremely powerful affinities that could topple the balance of the world. They are so rare that it has been one century since anyone ever had a deviant affinity. There are only two known, but we believe that there are more, which are shadow and light." "Now, prepare for your practical exam," Amelia said while glancing over at Allen. "Just why can't I see his stats?" she had a rare skill, Truth Eye, that enables her to see system information of those with a lower level or lower ranked system. "Just what are you?" Amelia wondered, promising to keep an eye on him.
