“You’re quite late.” the Head Alpha uttered.
“I’m sorry, father. I went to the west border to monitor if there’s a trespasser.”
“By the way Hannah, he is our son, Michael. He’s the one who rescued you from the rogues.” Omega Margarette looked at her son with a proud face.
“T-thank y...” Hannah was about to say her gratitude but cut with the young alpha’s question.
“I was asking you omega, how can you assure us that you were telling the truth? That you’re not committed into any crime...that you’re not a threat in our pack?” he continued.
Hannah sit up straight and looked directly to the eyes of the alpha. “I won’t force you to believe my words...but in the name of the Moon Goddess, I’ll never do things beyond my morale and principle. The last thing I would do is to have bad intentions or create harm to anyone.” she stated firmly. Her hands were shaking but she needs to be brave and stood her ground.
Hannah and Michael stared at each other, no one wanted to drop the gaze first.
A short cough was heard enough for them to divert their eyes away from each other.
The Head Alpha spoke with gentle but firm voice. “For the meantime, you are allowed to stay here. But Hannah, you will be under observation to ensure our pack’s safety. I hope you’ll understand.”
Hannah gave the Head Alpha a nod. “I understand, Head Alpha. I’ll be forever thankful for this chance.” she said sincerely.
The Head Omega smiled at her. “You can stay at the Omegas’ cabin from now on. Melia and Rina will help to assist you in your new place.”
Hannah felt relieved. She returned the smile while thanking the Head Omega.
She felt a deep gaze from the other side of the room. Her speed of heart raced double. She knew whose eyes it coming from but she pretended not to notice. Not now when she’s happy with the outcome of this meeting.
——
“Hi. I’m Rina. We will be room mate starting from today.” A short omega happily welcomed her when healer Melia walked her into the omegas’ cabin.
According to the healer, there were actually seven Omegas’ cabin in the village. All omegas staying in the cabin are single, ages 18 and up. It’s very different from her pack in the South where each family stayed together inside a one house no matter what age the family member has.
“And I am Hannah, it’s nice to meet you, Rina.” she smiled shyly at the other omega.
“What others said are true...you’re definitely beautiful.” the short omega eyes wandered on her appearance.
Hannah blushed to the compliment. “You look beautiful too, Rina.” she sincerely said. She’s glad that her room mate seems kind and easy to get along with.
“I’ll be leaving now, Hannah. I’ll go back to the infirmary. There’s a new patient I need to attend to. Rina, bring her later to the dining hall” the healer beed her goodbye.
The shorter omega showed her their shared cabin. It’s small but looks quite cozy enough for her chest to feel warm. There are three single bed in the room, three wooden cabinet, and one medium size table at the corner. There’s a medium size window with a pink curtain tied with a flower ribbon.
“That will be your bed.” Rina pointed her the farthest bed from the door. The small bed was covered with a pink bed sheet. “And here is mine.” pointing at the center bed.
“Is there another omega with you here?” she asked, pointing the bed near the window.
“Oh yes! Her name is Chelsea and she is my cousin. For sure you will love her even if she’s so clumsy and forgetful.” the omega giggled.
They were chattering when the door opened loudly.
“You’re already here!!! I’m Chelsea, the cutest wolf in the planet.” the tall omega with a braid almost run towards her but the omega tripped and fell on the floor.
Rina laughed at her cousin. “See, she’s so clumsy, right?!” Meet the clumsiest wolf on earth.” she bursted with another laughter.
Chelsea picked a pillow and throw it to the laughing omega. “Stop, you’re so annoying.” the omega whined.
Hannah can’t help but to laugh out loud with the two omegas now having a pillow fight. Her worries these past few days suddenly disappeared.
——
“So you’ve seen Alpha Michael earlier?” the taller omega asked, cheeks now painted with rosy color.
“Uhm yeah...but it seems like he doesn’t trust me that much.” she answered, memory of the handsome alpha who’s gaze was cold and deep which made her omega unsettled.
“Don’t worry about him. Alpha Michael is a very good alpha just like his father. Maybe it’s just hard for him to trust you easily because you’re not from here.” Rina explained.
“Plus he is so handsome and gorgeous!” Chelsea barked. “He is every omega’s dream. Even betas want him.” the cheerful omega added.
Hannah felt her wolf whined silently in protest of what she has heard. She’s confused on her wolf’s reaction but decided to just ignore it.
One thing she’s sure of...that Michael is indeed a handsome and gorgeous alpha.
