Gain the trust

“Are you sure I am allowed to eat with all of you here?” Hannah asked while walking with her clutches. “Of course! You can’t eat forever inside your room... and you’re with us so nothing to worry about.” Chelsea smiled at her which calm her nerves a bit. The three omegas continued walking towards the dining hall to eat their lunch. Rina explained that all wolves in this village eat altogether in the dining hall near the Head Alpha’s house. It is to create harmonious bond to each other. Hannah was quite nervous. She’s gonna face each wolf of the pack and she’s not comfortable about it. The omega remembered that in her old pack, she’s always been an outcast. Only Nico was there at her side joining her whenever he’s not busy with his tasks in the pack. She missed Nico already...she’s wondering what happened to him after her escape. She’s praying to the Moon Goddess for him to be alright and safe. “Okay, let’s fall in line there.” Rina pointed the line of wolves at the corner of the dining hall. Every one is waiting for their turn to get some foods. Hannah tried to greet and smile to every wolf looking at her. Some greeted and smiled back but some just ignore her. Hannah told to herself that it’s okay. She has Rina, Chelsea and aunt Melia in this pack. Finally, their tray was now filled with a plate of rice, roasted meat and vegetables. Delicious smell filled her nose and made her empty stomach rumbled. They have chosen a seat near a window. Hannah took a spoonful of rice with meat when she felt that familiar gaze. She looked around and found that powerful pair of black eyes, staring right at her. The omega choked on her food and coughed terribly. She reached for her glass of water and emptied its content. “Hey, are you alright?” Chelsea worriedly tapped her back to eased her cough. “Yah...” she answered. She looked again at Michael’s direction but he’s already seating and busy talking with some alphas or betas in the other side of the dining hall. Rina and Chelsea was chattering something about the pups when she heard the other omegas on the next table talking. “They need to be careful. She might steal their money or belongings.” one omega said, glancing at her direction. “Hmp! Once she steal anything from me, I won’t hesitate to cut off her hands.” another omega said. Hannah felt a sting in her chest. Maybe they already know what happened in her old pack. Unfortunately, other wolves were judging her already. “She doesn’t seem like capable of doing it. Look...she’s beautiful and looks innocent.” “Well, appearance can be deceiving.” Then they laughed quietly. “Don’t listen to them, Hannah. They’re just trying to piss you off.” Rina glared at the other omegas. She sighed heavily and nod. She tried to continue eating her food although she now lost her appetite. “When you’re completely healed, we will show around the village. You will love it here, especially the hot spring where we enjoy our bath.” Chelsea tried to divert her attention to somewhere else. “Thank you, I would love that.” she thankfully smiled at the two omegas. “Hello there!” a happy deep male voice coming from their back was heard. “Hey, Allan! You’re already here... I thought you’re still in the other village.” Rina talked to the alpha. “I just came back today.” he replied. The alpha looked towards her. “I guess you’re Hannah, am I right?” There’s a kind smile on his face. “Yes, I am.” she looked at the face of the alpha. He’s quite resembled to Nico. His eyes, his facial structure, and his friendly aura. And when he smile, he kind of look like someone but she can’t pointed it out. Hannah can’t help but to smiled back at the alpha. “I am actually looking for you.” he said. The guy was holding a small bag and gave it to her. “Mother told me to give it to you.” “Your mother?” she asked curiously. “Hannah, he is the son of aunt Melia.” Chelsea informed her. “Oh!” she gasped. Now that she knows that, she can now figured out that the alpha’s smile was same as her mother’s. Hannah opened the bag and saw some herbs which the beta usually give her to make the wounds heal faster. “Please tell aunt Melia my gratitude. It’s so sweet and thoughtful of her.” she smiled at the alpha. “Thanks to you, too.” The alpha blushed, scratching his nape. “It’s noth...” “Allan.” a cold voice interrupted the other alpha. A smell of sandalwood hit her nose, she looked back and saw Michael standing there with a serious face. “We have to go at the west border. It’s quite late.” Michael said with a calm but serious voice. “Hello alph..” Chelsea and Rina were about to greet the alpha when he turned back and walked out of the dining hall, Allan following him. The two omegas looked at each other wondering about the cold demeanour of the alpha. “What happened to him?” Chelsea asked. Rina shrugged her shoulders. “Don’t know.” she replied. “Maybe it’s because of me.” Hannah said with a sad voice. “Just like I told you earlier, he seems like he doesn’t like me being here with the pack.” “Oh don’t say that. It’s most unlikely of him. Maybe he’s just in a bad mood or something.” Rina tried to console her. Hannah just nod. If he’s not okay with her being here, then it’s fine. But she will try her best to prove him and to the other wolves that she’s not what they think. She has to do something to gain their trust.
