“How is she?” Michael asked Melia who just came out of the door. She’s holding a tray with an empty bowl and glass. “She is getting fine now, young alpha. Her fever has subsided although she’s still weak and in pain. She finished her bowl of soup and fell asleep right after.” “Alright...thanks. You may now go, aunt Melia.” he dismissed the beta healer and started to open the door. “Wait alpha Michael, don’t be surprised. She’s in her human form now.” “Really? When did she got shifted back?” he asked in confusion. “Well... she shifted last night when she was convulsing due to high fever” Melia explained. “I was quite surprised to see her human form. She’s so beautiful.” Michael tried not to react on that. He just gave the beta healer a nod and proceeded to go inside the omega’s room. The scent of fresh lily and roses hit his nose. Although it has a hint of metallic iron smell because of her wounds, still, he found it enticing. The alpha felt his alpha stirred in his chest. Michael walked unsurely near the omega’s bed and tried not to make a noise. She was sleeping on her stomach. The alpha can see half of her face angled in his direction, the other half was pressed on the pillow. She seemed innocent and peaceful in her sleep. He is glad that they found her before it’s too late. Her nose twitched a little which he found cute and endearing. Her skin is white as milk and her lashes are long. Her black hair was splayed all over, some strands covered her face. He reached for her hair feeling entranced with the woman’s beauty but withdrew his hand half way. What was he thinking?! Yesterday, he felt so enraged at the sight of the injured omega. He wanted nothing but to kill those rogues, especially the one who was on top of her. It was the first time he felt overwhelming anger flowed in his veins and he can’t understand why. She’s a stranger. Michael feeling frustrated at himself. He sighed heavily and decided to leave the room. Maybe he should have to exhaust himself with a long run before he lose his mind. —- Two days after Hannah felt the butterflies dancing around in her stomach. Today, she will meet the Head Alpha and the rest of the Jeon family. Negative thoughts filled her head. What if they won’t like her to stay in here? Even her own pack didn’t want her, what more of then...she’s just a mere stranger. “Don’t worry...” she heard the kind voice of the healer. “Our Head Alpha is compassionate, once you tell him your story, he will let you stay here in our pack.” Hannah told the beta healer on what happened in her pack and how did she came here. The omega can’t stop herself from crying while telling her story. She felt relieved and thankful that the beta believed her. “I forgot to ask you, what pack do you belong?” the woman asked her curiously. “I am from the Park pack.” “Park pack???” The beta seemed shocked, eyes enlarging. “Yes... do you know my pack?” “I came from Park pack too, before I met my mate.” the beta smiled at her. Something flashed in Hannah’s mind... the story which her mom told her. Melia. “Wait...maybe you know my mother. Her name is Ana.” she said, hoping that her gut was right. “Ana...she’s my bestfriend.” A teary smile formed in the healer’s lips and then she hugged her tight. Both of them can’t believe that they will meet each other after so many years. If it’s a coincidence or a destiny, Hannah felt happy and somewhat relieved. “Let’s go.” She helped her to stand. Her wound in her leg is still healing so the healer gave her a clutch to make her walking easier. They passed some group of wolves while walking. Hannah felt more nervous at their stares, she continued her steps, head down to avoid their eyes. They reached the Head Alpha’s house. It’s the largest she has ever seen in her life. It is situated at the center of the village. “I’m with omega Hannah. Alpha Leandro is expecting us.” the healer told the two alpha guards. “Yeah, go straight inside the Head Alpha’s den. He is already waiting, including the council of the pack.” one of the guards stated, looking at her curiously. They walked inside until they reached the den. It is an enclosed area but has no door. They stepped inside and bowed their heads. “A pleasant day, our dear Head Alpha.” Hannah and Melia greeted. Five wolves were already seated comfortably inside, one is an omega. There is a big long table at the center. “Come on and sit down.” the Head Alpha said with his gentle but with full of authority voice. Hannah has chosen a vacant seat at the corner, as well as healer Melia. “So, your name is Hannah, am I right?” She nodded. “How old are you, if I may ask?” “I’m 22 years old...” she answered. “Oh let me introduce to you ourselves first.” said the omega. “This is Leandro, the Head Alpha of the Jeon pack, and I’m Margarette, his wife. Then this is Alpha Roy, Beta Calix, and Beta Gilbert, our pack council.” the omega added. “Where did you come from and what were you doing in the forest the other day?” the Head Alpha asked. “I c-came from Southern land of Azis. I-I...escaped from my pack...” Hannah fidgeted and looked around nervously. “Why did you escape from your pack? Have you committed a crime?” One of the council asked, lifting one of his eyebrow. “No.” she answered firmly. “I never did a crime...but they accused me of doing so.” Hannah trembled while sharing her stories on what happened that night and how she got here. The wolves were in silence, contemplating what she has told. A barritone voice has interrupted the silence. “How can you assure us that you are telling the truth, omega?” Hannah stared up at the tall man who has just entered the den. A set of brown eyes held her gaze. Her wolf barked inside her. The wolf who saved her life...was it him?
