Hannah felt the hotness of the water in her skin when she dipped down her lower body. It caused her a mixed feeling of relaxation and a little emotional at the same time.
The omega remembered her mother who used to help her to have a hot bath during winter when she was a child. Her mother also helped her to scrubbed her back using fine stones. She missed those moments.
The omega’s thoughts were snapped when some of the omegas and betas gushed for someone they saw.
“There he is!”
“Oh he’s really handsome, right?! Adonis is nothing compared to his looks.”
“Look at those abs and muscles!”
Those were the words she heard before her eyes found the center of their attraction. Hannah felt her throat dried, butterfly danced in her stomach.
Michael stood there shirtless at the corner with a confident aura, two alphas were with him. The three alphas are all handsome but Michael is on another level. He is taller and broader than the other alphas. Aside from that, Michael exudes strong presence, no question that he is the son of the Head Alpha, the future pack leader.
“Hello ladies...how is it going?”
The three omegas turned their heads to see Allan standing at the brink of the spring. He waved his hands towards them. “May I join you?” he friendly asked.
“Ehem! If I know, you’re just here to see our new beautiful friend here.” Rina teased while winking at Hannah.
They saw how the alpha blushed from his neck up to his ears. “Hey, I’m just here to make friends.” Allan said defensively.
Hannah felt something warm in her chest hearing that word. Friend. So they consider her now as their new friend. That thought made her happy and heart full.
The two girls laughed and throw water at the alpha. Allan splashed in the water and took revenge by throwing more water at the two omegas.
She shook her head and decided to swim around. After a few strokes, she felt so much pain in her back and leg. She forgot that she has still wounds. When the omega tried to rose up above the surface of the water, she panicked when her feet can’t reached the ground anymore. She didn’t know that she went to the deep part of the spring.
Hannah struggled to float on the surface of the water. She felt like there’s a magnet forcing her body down. The omega was starting to lose her breath when suddenly, she felt strong arms pulling her up the water.
She gasped for air and when her chest didn’t feel like burning anymore, she looked at the face who saved her. A surprise look registered on her face.
The alpha was still holding her closed to his body. They both stared at each other’s eyes and Hannah was like turned into another dimension where there’s only two of them exists.
The guy was the first one to break the spell. He guided her towards shallower area.
“What the hell were you doing?!” Michael said angrily. His expression was dark and Hannah felt weaker with the way he stared at her.
“I-i’m sorry... It’s my first time here so I was unaware that I was already in the deep part.” she slowly explained. She felt ashamed of her recklessness so she gulped and bow down her head.
“I don’t know if your just simply reckless or stupid. It’s the second time your life went in danger. Next time, I won’t bother to save your ass anymore so be careful, omega.” With that, the angry alpha left her with a heavy heart.
“Oh Hannah! Are you okay?” Rina asked worriedly. She just quickly nod, not wanting her new friend to worry.
“Thanks to Moon Goddess, Alpha Michael was here to save you. He really is a hero.” Chelsea stated with a relieve face. The two omegas embraced her.
Allan spoke after the omegas released her in their hug. “I’m sorry, Hannah. I wasn’t quick enough to swim into your direction. Chelsea is right, it’s really fortunate that Alpha Michael saw you and reached to you. It’s actually my first time to saw him swim that fast.”
Hannah thought that maybe, she’s really lucky to be saved by the alpha, not once, but twice. Although she felt her wolf unhappy because she just gave the alpha another reason to dislike her.
Hannah no longer attempt to swim. She just sat in the corner and listen to Rina and Chelsea talking about their duty in the pack. Allan has already went in somewhere else with the other alphas.
Hannah learned that both omegas are working in the nursery to take care of the pups while they’re parents are in duty.
“When my wounds heal, I want something to do, too. Do you think the Head Alpha will allow me to have a duty in the pack?” she asked curiously.
“I think so. Every wolf at the right age were given a duty.” Rina replied positively. “Anyway, chores do you want to take in?”
Chelsea was the one who answered. “You may apply in the nursery, too. Cynthia requested to be assigned in the kitchen so I think you may take her schedule in the nursery station...only if you want.”
“You can also choose duties in the kitchen, infirmary, garden, or sewing section.” Rina enumerated the options.
“My pack in the South treated me as a slave so I know a lot of different chores, except for taking care of the pups in our pack. They never allowed me to be near to the pups even if I wanted to. I think I want to have that duty, if the Head Alpha will allow me.”
Chelsea’s face brightened. “Okay! I will talk to aunt Theresa tomorrow morning. I’ll convince her to have a proposal to the Head Alpha to let you in.”
“You don’t have to worry. aunt Theresa is a soft-hearted omega. She’s just like aunt Melia.”
“Thank you, Rina and Chelsea. I am so lucky to have you with me.”
Hannah looked up at the dark sky, clouds were slowly disappearing. Full moon is about to set and her wolf is getting excited of what has to come.
