Kai grew frustrated hearing his sister Ming speak of dying.
He refused to consider the possibility. He loved her too much to watch her die.
Grabbing her hand tightly, Kai said, "Listen to me. You will not die. There's no reason to think such things because I will never let you die."
Ming looked at him weakly, "How are you planning to do that?"
Kai responded firmly, "I will take you somewhere where you can get treated."
She sighed, "You need to be honest with yourself. The only thing that has relieved my sickness are the pills the elders provide, and now they are almost finished."
Kai looked at the bottle of pills, seeing there were only three left. The realization hit him again.
