"Daddy, where's mommy?"
"What do you mean?"
"Mommy's gone. Her car isn't here anymore.."
"WHAT!?"
His father ran down the stairs and outside onto the driveway. Sure enough, her car was gone.
"Stay here, I'm going to go find her."
"But I want to come with-"
"No."
"But-"
"Fine, just get in the car."
He started the engine and drove off to go look for her. It was already 10 p.m. and there was no reason he could think of for his wife to just leave without telling anyone. She was mostly under watch because of many previous suicide attempts, but she's never taken her car with her before. He got the police on the hone and explained the situation.
"Hello?"
"Hello."
"Please, I need help, my wife is gone. She drove off without telling anyone, and we can't find her. We need a search party."
"Sir, calm down. Are you sure she didn't just go to the store? That she didn't go for a drive around?"
"Yes, I'm very sure. She's tried killing herself many times before, so we have her under watch most of the time. She never leaves without telling anyone, but this time she did, and I have a really bad feeling."
"Alright, I'll send out a search party. We'll have them search the neighborhood and the woods for anyone."
"Shit.. I didn't think about the woods.."
"Excuse me?"
He made a sharp turn followed by a loud screeching sound caused by his tires. He sped off to the woods in search of his wife. They got there in 20 minutes, and he parked his car just at the entrance. He grabbed his son out of the car and they walked through the woods in a panic. Soon enough, a search party arrived. There were at least 5 officers here and 5 in the neighborhood right now.
"Alright, let's all split up. We'll go this way, you and you go there and there. Hurry."
About 7 minutes into the search, the neighborhood search came to the woods. They hadn't found her. Upon hearing this, the husband's heart dropped. He's had a bad feeling before and managed to push it aside, but now, it fully set in and he was just about ready to break down right there and then. Just then, an officer arrived back at the start of the search area.
"I found her."
