More Than Friends

Chapter 1

I hate this, I hate my life! I know what you are thinking, “What do you hate? We haven't even read a page of this yet and you're already a mess!” Let me introduce myself, I'm Alyssa Macias, in my freshman year of high school at 15 years old. You may say, “ Well, there's nothing wrong with that,” but you are wrong. Horribly, terribly wrong in fact! You see, all of my classmates have started dating including all of my guy friends and my only girlfriend Alec!

Now that I have those facts out let's get into this. My friends consist of mostly guys, including Ryan, Jack, Tim, Anthony, Owen, Cody and Isaiah. I am close to all my friends which gives me a bad reputation with their girlfriends, including Anthony's. Anthony and I have been friends the longest and have been friends since 5th grade. We are both 15, but he's exactly two months older than I am, which gets very frustrating at times.

I should probably list my interests really quick so you get to know me better, some includes writing short stories for my friends, photography, and painting. My love of writing definitely stems from my father since he is a writer for a magazine company. The painting is from my mother since she is an artist and her art is actually very well known in my state. The photography is something that I just kind of picked up on. It started when I was nine and my parents bought me a cute little polaroid camera. Since then I have gained a good five cameras ranging from go-pro’s to polaroids and everything in between.

I have Auburn hair that is wavy that goes all the way down my back, and I'm often complimented for it, but I hate it! My hair is always getting in my eyes. My eyes are green just like my father of whom I love more than my mom. I'm 5'7 which makes me the 3rd tallest in my friend group. I have two mainly loving parents, a younger brother whose 10, and a younger sister whose 7. They are so annoying, always wanting me to buy them stuff with MY allowance! Can you believe it!
