Mai Lin! Giorgio Faenza thought. He scribbled up when he saw her standing in the doorway. He tried to make eye contact with her, but she dodged his gaze. Now what? he thought.
Before he had a chance to figure out what was going on, Mai Lin was pushed in hard. Faenza’s two guards reacted as surprised as he did.
“Is Holwerth done playing with her?” one of the guards laughed.
The SSA in the hallway couldn’t laugh about it. “We have other things on our mind. Tie her up and keep some space, there’ll be another patient in a minute…”
