Today hasn't been the best of days, to say the least. After I returned home last night, my mother was still awake, waiting for my return. She reminded me that I had to be careful here, that I always needed to be on guard, and most of all, that I should never go anywhere without at least one of the knights. However, when I explained to her that I just needed a break from it all, that I went to Kilbeggan with Konan, she calmed down. I could see it in her eyes that she understood. Her face also lit up when I mentioned Fred and Portia, promising to tell me some of her tales from that time at a later date.
