Vivian had no idea Alexander had so much going on in his head.
And she definitely didn’t know why he brought her to watch the sunrise in the first place.
She was just quietly enjoying the night view, patiently waiting for the dawn.
"Sunrise means a new beginning." She took a soft breath of the crisp morning air, the gloom Vincent Reeves had left in her heart lifting a bit.
She and Alexander had both gotten a fresh start, and her four brothers had broken free from their previous fate too.
Hopefully… her birth parents, whom she’d never met, could also have a second chance.
If they were still alive, that is.
"Don’t worry, they’re going to be okay." Alexander gently took her slender fingers in his, knowing exactly what was weighing her down.
