The Party

It was Isack’s birthday, and Rafael decides with Isack’s sister, Ember, that he needed to do something for Isack’s 21st birthday. So, Rafael picked Isack up from his apartment and took him to his favorite bar, at which Isack got drunk and a spunky guy with spiked blonde hair handed Isack his number. As Rafael was driving Isack home, he lost control of the car and crashed into a tree. Little did the boys know that another car had slammed into them. Both Rafael and Isack lost consciousness immediately, Isack’s leg was crushed into the car by the impact and a piece of glass protruding from his neck. During transportation to the hospital, Isack’s vitals dropped rapidly. He was rushed into surgery upon arrival and his next of kin was contacted, his sister Ember. Both Rafael’s legs were broken as well as two of his ribs. After waking, Rafael found out that Isack was in surgery and the doctors weren’t sure if he will make it.

Isack’s been bugging me all night to have a drink because it’s his ‘birthday’. I keep blowing him off though, because his sister would skin Rafael alive if he drove Isack home while drunk.

I finally give in and say I’ll have a drink but only when we get home. His sister is scary when she’s mad. Really. Now he wants to go home. About time, he’s swaying like a leaf in a storm as I guide him to the car.
