After a couple of agonizing highway hours, Reagan parked her car at her apartment building, back in Newbrook. She called her mother, as promised, then immediately called Jackson to let him know she was home. They had planned to eat dinner and enjoy a relaxing evening. He let her know that he would be there around six to get her, giving her plenty of time to get ready. Reagan glanced out the window when she heard Jackson’s Camaro pull up outside. She smiled, watching him climb out of his car. He looked handsome, as usual, but tonight he was especially breath-taking. It was moments like this that made her wonder if it was all a dream. Seconds later, he knocked on the door, and she didn’t hesitate to open it. “Merry Christmas,” he told her immediately. She blushed and did her best to reply
