Judgment Day for the Goddess

Emanuel gazed upon his daughter with great disappointment. She had done something punishable by death. “Selene, do you understand what you have done?”

She was silent.

"Today as I strolled through the book of life there was an extra name. Why is that?" He asked. Maui gasped as she looked at her sister.

"I had to protect the child, father,'' she said simply.

"So, you altered the future by giving life. A violation punishable by death."

Maui gasped again.

"And where did the child come from?' Emanuel began his interrogation.

"Father you know all," Selene said softly.

"I want to hear you speak of your betrayal. I need to hear the words from your lips."

She took a deep breath and began...

"When the decree was sent beyond the heavens it put the life of the young Lycan prince in jeopardy. So, I took the Lycan prince the day of his birth and gave him to a family that had already had a child on record that was safe from the decree. Alpha Lucas and Luna Rochelle had lost their sweet baby boy. They have loved the child and kept him safe."

"Are you saying this to excuse what was done to the Lycans’ true parents?" Emanuel asked.

"No no, absolutely not! The young Lycan prince was saved." She held her head down as she spoke.

"So, you took the child born to Alpha Loren and Luna Darla and gave the child to Lucas and Rochelle?"

"That is correct. His parents were in danger, so I gave them a baby girl. The council only murdered the boys."

"And where did the girl come from?"

Emanuel leaned in closer. As he searched her heart.

"Mariah was calling out to me for help, abused, mistreated by her pack. I told her to be patient her mate would come, but she did not wait. she became involved with an Elder Lycan. He impregnated her and then he found his mate after nearly a millennium, he rejected her. She was dying and the child was still in her womb. She needed help because her body could not have the child naturally. I took it as she took her dying breath. I took the babe from her womb and gave it to the Lycan King. His life was spared.

She was in despair, and she found peace and her child was saved.

“Took or stole?”

“Father!”

"Selene, is that how you see it? Do you know what happens to a child that escapes death when it is written in the book of souls?'

She did not answer because she did not know.

"When was the last time you checked on the family Selene?” she hadn't so she was silent still.

"You gave them a babe with no soul. Incapable of love, feelings. A beacon for evil, that now walks the earth. Both her parents have died because she murdered them and ate their hearts. She now has a covenant with the devil himself and now she walks the earth. The Chosen is your creation Selene, but the people of earth are mine. and you have condemned them all. To make matters worse, Heron’s army is growing stronger. Lives are still being taken as he seeks your Chosen. Now I find myself asking was Heron right, your creation has only nearly destroyed mine." With a flick of his wrist, he showed her the future to come. "Heron has made the people of earth aware of all the creatures of the night. Now out of fear they are hunted and killed by mankind. His greed has overpowered him, and he no longer sees your Chosen as a threat He now uses dark magic to control the people of the earth trying to overthrow the government and to take over. Meanwhile the belly of the beast that resides in none other than Mundora the child You gave life to! Feeds on their souls, souls that should belong to me! As for you daughter, you shall not die but I sentence you to an eternity in the void of nothingness. There, the only sound you will hear are the cries of your people, forsaken by the Goddess that created them. And your Chosen has been stripped of all power as well."

Selene dropped to her knees at his words.

" I Beg you father please!" Maui cried, "must we all suffer because of Selene's dishonesty? Father if you take her power, how will she protect herself and the world." Maui asked

"She will not. You set this in motion Selene and now you will deal with the consequences." Emanuel stated flatly

"Father Selene will not be the only one to suffer, we all will, please they are our children. You can change this father, please reconsider!" Maui begged.

"My decision is final!' Emanuel declared.

"Then you are as bad as Selene and Heron." Maui cried looking at Selene she said pointing a finger at her.

"Because of you Selene the world will forever be changed. I will never forgive you for this!"

Selene was not even able to respond as she was sucked away into the void of nothingness.

Who's the witch?

"Who's the witch?" Blaine just looked Chastity up and down clearly not pleased with her presence.

"How did you know she was a witch?" Kali asked because he was inside when they arrived. Which did not sit well with her either since a lot of her things were still here.

Chastity looked at Blaine and thought to herself he looks like a rock sculpture. Since arriving to the mystic Moon Pack she had met nothing but handsome men, but Blaine stood out with his tan complexion, seductive brown eyes, high cheekbones and chiseled chin

"My name is Chastity." She said answering his question.

"Never been to fond of witches," Blaine said.

"Isn't all just magic," Kaleigha said earning her a sneer from both of them.

"Can she wait outside I need to talk to you?" Kaleigha was thrown off a little by his rudeness.

"Blaine, Chastity is a close friend of mine and loyal to me. She will stay."

"Fine." He shrugged "what are you Kaleigha?"

"I am a wolf less she-wolf, Zion. That much I know. Not long after meeting you at the bar, my life took a bit of a turn. I met my mate, Blaine."

"Mate, impossible you are my Amore." He reached for her, and she stepped away.

"Blaine I'm sorry but I am not yours. I can feel it when he touches me."

"You let him touch you?" Blaine looked so hurt that Kaleigha felt his pain.

"Whatever," he said brushing her rejection off,

"You have something that belongs to me." Kaleigha reached into her bag and handed him his spell book.

"Why did you want it?"

"I don't know, I felt drawn to it. You said you could help me?"

"Um yeah, your back. The marks I found out they are legacy."

"Legacy?"

"Yes, the mark of the Chosen. You do not have them all. You have air, fire, and -" he reached over and placed his hand on the small of her back “it where you bare the mark of the Chosen.”

Chastity looked away blushing and Kaleigha was suddenly embarrassed but still, she asked "what do you think it means?"

"I will not give up on you Leigh what we shared was special." He said in a low husky tone. Chastity, at that moment, wished she had been dismissed. Kaleigha caught the look that Chastity had and could feel her judgment but decided to address it later.

"I'm sure there is an explanation as to why I bare the mark."

Now Blaine looked at her like she was slow.

"Kaleigha you are the Chosen! It's the only way you would." He said as he made circular motions on her back.

"Maybe not I think a Chosen would be less indecisive regarding certain matters." Chastity pointed out.

"Shots fired," Kaleigha mumbled looking at her to acknowledge she caught her hint. She grabbed Blaine's hand and placed it back at his side. He looks sad and disappointed, but she was surprisingly unbothered.

"Blaine, is there anything else?"

"I plan to discuss it with my parents later. I'll call you answer your phone and-”

She looked at her cell and saw it was Zion, clearly, she was busted she took a deep breath.

"Before you get upset, I can explain."

He was silent a moment then finally he said, "Why are you doing this?"

"I want to know who I am, and he has answers."

"And instead of saying that to me, you sneak off alone."

"It's not like that!"

"IT’s EXACTLY LIKE THAT CAT. YOU DIDN'T TELL ME BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO SEE HIM ALONE!"

"THAT’S NOT TRUE ZION."

"CAT I CAN'T DO THIS WITH YOU. I WON'T DO THIS WITH YOU. YOU ARE USING MY LOVE FOR YOU AS A WEAPON AGAINST ME!"

"Zion please stop yelling at me. Try to hear me."

"No, no Kaleigha I'm not doing this with you. You are fresh out of the hospital, and do you come to your mate, no you run to the man in your dreams. The man whose scent you were covered in the man I could smell your lust for. I don't know if that is what you call love but mate or no mate Chosen or no Chosen, I'm done. I Zion-"

Kaleigh hung up in his ear mumbling to no one in particular “he did not just try to dump me over the f*****g phone.”

Chastity had walked outside and was waiting by the side of the porch. She felt something cold, sending a chill down her spine although it was a hot summer day. She could see it moving fast through the grass. She rushed back inside. Slamming the door behind her. "There is something out there, big, dark and my magic is not strong enough for it." You could see the fear in her eyes as the floorboards began to rattle and shake beneath them.

"What the f**k!" Blaine shouted as black smoke began to deep through the cracks on the floor. A woman appeared before them. Her eyes were black and so were her lips which was so pronounced against her pale skin.

"Awe Catori you have awakened."

"Who the hell are you?" Kaleigha hissed.

"You sure make a hell of an entrance later." Blaine chimed in.

She looked at him and hissed "pretty boy." And she licked her lips. Her black hair seemed to be moving like it had a life of its own. Reminding Kaleigha of Medusa.

"Close its Mundora. You have something that belongs to me Chosen."

"I don't even know you." Kaleigha growled

"But you speak to the Goddess you have a direct link to her." Kaleigha did not deny this.

"The Moon Goddess hears all her children. Why don't you speak to her yourself?"

"Because I am not her child. She can't hear me." She hissed "but I will not be silenced she owes me." Kaleigha eyes suddenly started to glow silver "Judgment rays of light went from hers to Mundora's. Mundora gave her a wicked laugh

That won't work with me, dear. See because of your mother I am empty! She owes me a soul and until I get it I will continue to take others." An almost liquidly substance began to seep from under her gown like vines and suddenly it was wrapped around Chastity's throat.

"No!" Within seconds Chastity's life force was drained and all that was left was dust.

"I will come for all that you loved one by one until I get my soul."

Kaleigha threw a hand up and a ball of fire went soaring through the air at Mundora. But it was useless Mundora disappeared in a puff of smoke. Kaleigha began breathing erratic. She ran to the spot where Chastity once stood and fell to her knees. "Oh no no!" She screamed Blaine rushed to her side.

"What have I done." She cried.

Zion felt a pang in his heart. He grabbed his chest he instantly knew it was transferred pain. When a wolf's mate was hurting, they felt it. It was a way to help them not have to carry the pain alone. He was angry with her, but the mate bond was strong. 'Kevin' he said stepping outside he could see dark clouds forming in the distance.

Kevin looked at him. He was already standing outside when he called him.

"Have you ever seen clouds form like that?"

"It's Cat I have to go."

"Wait, what do you mean it's Cat," Kevin said following behind.

"Something has happened. I feel her pain."

"Is she hurt?"

"I don't think she is physically hurt, I can't explain it," Zion said as he shifted into his wolf.

"I'm coming with you Alpha," Kevin said as Michael and Chenoa came running outside.

"You’re going to my sister? I'm coming too."

She wasn't asking him. She was telling him, and he was too weary to argue.

"Keep up," he said to her as she shifted, he stepped back. Her wolf Anika was impressive. She nearly as big as Czar. Michael smiled admiring his mate then he shifted into his wolf Noble. Anika took off they formed a rectangular formation as they traveled. 'Anika says your mate is in great pain.' Noble said to Czar. Czar did not reply he just sped up. The heavens opened and it began to pour. When they arrived at the edge of his territory, he spotted him ducking behind the trees attempting not to be seen.

'River I see you. Are you alone?'

It was then that he saw Tabatha's wolf peeking from behind a tree as well.

'Does anyone around here remember they must have permission before leaving the territory?" Zion snapped.

'We had not left yet.' Tabatha responded weakly.

'KEEP UP.' He said before moving on. When they reached the edge of the woods facing Kaleigha's property Zion shifted and went behind a tree to change. Chenoa didn't bother she shifted and ran naked with Tabatha by her side toward the house. The rain was pouring, and they both held a hand over their breast and one over their privacy. Blaine could sense someone nearby. "Stay here I'll check it out."

"No need it's Zion." She whispered her head leaning against the wall.

Okay, he reached over and lifted her up thinking he must love her to pass her to another man however if they were mates, he understood the bond they shared. He could calm her in a way that he knew he could not. He opened the door and paused as he saw Chenoa first Kaleigha's mirror image standing naked and soaking wet and beside her Tabatha short and stacked. With her hair clinging to her body. There were three wolves and the guy he saw in the dream. Their eyes met and he knew he wanted to challenge him, but he did not instead he let him walk up to him and pass him his mate.

"What happened?" Zion asked.

"The witch is dead," Blaine said.

"What no!" Chenoa bolted inside followed by Tabatha and River.

"Cat you could not save her?" Zion asked as she rested her head on his chest.

"There was nothing left for her to work with."

Blaine answered for her. Chenoa let out a cry and so did Tabatha. The sound sent sharp pains through Kaleigha's heart.

"Who did this?" Zion asked.

"Mundora," Blaine said as he began to walk
