***Ivy*** A faint beep, it was steady, it was off in the distance. It wasn't picking up or slowing; it just stayed the same. It wasn't annoying like an alarm going off, just a background noise, like a TV playing in the back as you work. The smell of antiseptic hit my nose, making me wrinkle it.
