CHAPTER 11: THE BEGINING OF THE DARKEST HOUR

After the mighty war had come to an end, King Jason walked into the royal library of the palace where King Jason spent his childhood. King Jason kept walking around the library until he came up to a passage with a door at its end. King Jason ordered the librarian to bring him the keys to open the door, but the librarian refused to do so.

''Why do you refuse to bring thy key to me?'' questioned King Jason, and the librarian replied '' My Lord, your father made us promise before you were born that none of us must open this door because it contains a source which leads to a great threat to our kingdom''

King Jason realized that if his father had ordered them not and made them promise, it meant that what he said was true. So, King Jason went straight away to his chamber and removed his cloak and sat on his royal seat to sort the doubts in his mind, but there was something troubling him about that specific door and its mystery.

On the same day, later that night, King Jason and his most trusted guard went sneakily to the library, and went to the end of the passage and got in front of the door. The guard questioned the king ''Your Majesty, how do we get into the secret chamber without having the key'' and the King replied '' I noticed in the afternoon that the librarian was twitching her left eye when she was looking at the door, which made me realize that the key might be somewhere around here''

King Jason ordered his guard to leave him alone and guard the passage until he finds what is inside this hidden chamber.

The king found an old box lying near the door and he picked it up. He wiped the dust from the box from his own bare rough hands and opened i and found a shiny metal key with a magical green line running through the key. He took the key and trembled with fear and doubt, he inserted the key into the door and unlocked it. Then he pushed the door slowly and had a slight peak inside the chamber and then he saw a dusty old book on a dusty old rusted stand in the middle of the chamber. He went to the center of the chamber without any hesitation and fear and then he opened the book. Suddenly, he saw a green ring-like structure rise up from the book and started to talk to him.

''After 1000 years of being trapped, finally I'm free. Who is that lad who released me from this great misery?'' asked the book, and King Jason replied in his rough tone ''I'm the one who released you from this great misery. Are you a genie or an evil magical object?''. The book replied '' Mind your tone young man, I used to be a monster but I was imprisoned in his book for 1000 years. If I had my current way I would have crushed you for your disrespectfulness towards me '', the king replied '' No one can ever disrespect me or destroy me. I do not forget and i do not forgive as I am Legion'', the book replied '' Then let me help with it. I want you to step forward and read the four lines of this magical book. I will be your servant forever'', King Jason did not understand that the book was trying to trick him into releasing him from the book, but the book knew that Jason was not strong enough to understand the tricks as he had not yielded the power of the mighty storm breaker which all previous kings had. So King Jason stepped forward and read those four lines and then he saw a monster's face emerging from the book and then suddenly everything was dark until a man stepped forward and lit a lamp in front of him. King Jason was astonished because the man in front of him was himself, the monster had taken his physical form and had dark green eyes staring into his. King Jason took his sword out foolishly without any hesitation and ran toward him to kill him, but the moster knew it before King Jason took the sword out because the monster had taken Jason's form of body which allows the monster to read Jasons mind and thoughts. The monster dodged quickly in a light second and started to ascend into the air, slowly throwing a huge lightning bolt at King Jason's right arm and flying straight into the air in a second. King Jason screamed with agony and screamed for help, but his guard could not hear him. So King Jason walked out through the door with less strength and saw his most beloved guard being swallowed by a huge ugly, scary black snake. Then he saw the monster descending downwards towards the snake and as the monster touched the snake the snake became a magical sword. The monster smiled and ascended into the sky and went off to the forests.

King Jason knew that now it was going to be the beginning of the darkest hour of the kingdom. So he ran to his chamber and started to pull the emergency rope. Once he pulled the rope, the occupants of the palace, such as the knights, guards, servants and many more, heard the bell ringing, which made them realize that there was an emergency. So all of them rushed to the main hall of the palace and gathered around, but King Jason was not present as he was in his chamber bleeding with agony.

Unfortunately, instead of King Jason, the monster appeared in Jason's form. He addressed the meeting, informing them that there was a rouge bleeding with agony inside the palace just like him. The guards, knights, servants and all of them rushed in every direction to find the rouge and kill him. One such guard saw King Jason bleeding inside the room and the guard raised his word to kill him.

King Jason dug the sword and asked ''Why did you try to kill me?'' and the guard replied '' This is the order from King Jason. I will kill you rogue'' and King Jason pushed him away and fled to his secret dorm next to his chamber and escaped from the hidden door inside the royal clothing cupboard of his. The knights and guards began to search for his everywhere but could not find him.
