7. Lucas sat in his office, his mind a rollercoaster of thoughts. Ever since his encounter with Janette, he had been finding it hard to think straight. He would zone out at intervals, and his best friend, Alan could do nothing but watch him. “You do know sulking and getting lost in your own world wouldn’t bring her back, right?” Alan tapped Lucas, who sucked in a breath. “I have pleaded, Alan.
