Someone shouted my name. I turned to see who it was.
Zoey was running toward me with a big smile on her face.
She closed the distance and hugged me tightly. I smiled and hugged her back.
"Oh my Moon Goddess, you're fine! I was so scared when that monster took you to that scary place," she said.
Eva growled inside my head, not liking the way Zoey named Damian as a monster.
"I'm fine, Zoey. Nothing happened to me, and Damian is not a monster, neither was the place scary," I said, determination clear in my voice.
Her eyes widened. "You mean he's not a monster?"
"Nope," I repeated.
"But he took you forcefully," she scowled.
"Yeah, he did. But he wasn't treating me badly."
"So what was he doing with you?" she said, with a confused expression.
