MIRACLE HANDS

Caelum was stunned, still suspended in a half awake state. He couldn't believe his eyes nor ears. Stacy waited patiently with a smile on her face, knowing that he was still in shock. Hell, she herself was also startled out of her damn mind when she realized that the money was real, and that the coins he bought suddenly skyrocketed in value in the space of one night. Caelum looked at her, and he couldn't help but remember Arianna who wasn't anywhere near as beautiful, smart or wealthy as the one before him, yet she regarded him with nothing but disdain. “Can we be your financial managers? If you will let me, I will set up your personal staff immediately, and make sure that the wealth keeps multiplying till you become number one.” She smiled awkwardly. “Of course, you can choose to take it elsewhere since your current net worth is bigger than the entire Oasis investment bank. And perhaps…” “Why will I do that?” Caelum looked genuinely bewildered, and the desperation on her face gave way to a stunned expression, then a warm smile. “Your bank staff treated me with nothing but respect, unlike other people that judge by attire and might have sent me out. But even when there was a possibility that it might be a fake account, and you would be wasting your time, you still came to help me confirm it. Letting someone else assist me, or partner with me when you're right here is impossible. You will always have the priority.” Stacy exhaled in relief, feeling grateful that she had enforced the equality rule years ago after she began to work as an executive. Otherwise, they would have lost this big fish. She was already calculating the amount of revenue Caelum will generate for Oasis if they engage in a long term collaboration. “Thank you for the opportunity. Right now, the priority is selling and converting it to physical assets and bonds since these things fluctuate. The value keeps rising, but to be on a safer side, we should convert ¾ of it to physical assets.” “You’re the expert, do what needs to be done.” “Are you with your identity cards?” “I have soft copies of all my documents saved in my laptop.” “Excellent, please follow me.” Caelum followed her into a room filled with computer screens and systems, showing real time analytics and stock market appraisals. More than fifty workers were busy at their various work stations, trading stocks and tracking technical faults. Caelum was immediately amazed and couldn't help but look around. A part of the room was empty, and she led him to that cubicle. Five staff wearing glasses came out from the inner office and greeted them. “Miss Melbourne, welcome.” She turned to Caelum with a smile. “These are my tech gurus, my financial wizards that rule the stock market. They will convert the coins to money and buy out as many companies and assets as possible before the coins devalue… if it will.” They all bowed down to acknowledge him and quickly got into line. In no time at all, they had acquired eight gigantic corporations for him, bought stocks in numerous others, and even properties, just anything to reduce the money. But the more they converted, the more the value kept rising. “This airline company is not doing too well, you should not buy it, go for Air Serenity instead, it's doing great.” Stacy who was moving between them suddenly interrupted, leaning over one of the female employees. Caelum equally came to take a look at the stocks, carefully checking the charts. “No, she's on the right track. Buy N.C airlines, leave Serenity out. N.C seems to be doing badly for now, but it will rise again with good management.” Stacy frowned. “Who wants to spend time revamping a dying company with zero potential? That would be a waste of resources.” Caelum smiled at her. “Do it anyway. If I lose the money, so what? At least, the airline staff won't lose their jobs for a while.” “Listen to the client.” Stacy muttered, even though she had lots of reservations in her mind at what she thought was Caelum making business decisions based on sentiments. In one hour, Caelum had become the owner of numerous hotel chains, architecture/ construction companies, banks, food and beverage companies, bio tech giants, game companies, software and tech companies, home appliances, automobile companies, airlines, and even football clubs. In just one hour through multiple acquisitions, he had become a big name in the financial market. Meanwhile, other big companies were in confusion, wondering who Caelum Wexler was, and where Oasis investment got such resources from. Stacy was also feeling a wicked satisfaction, she made sure to buy out shares from her enemy’s companies, and made sure she maintained sole monopoly over sensitive trademarks. Of course, it was technically Caelum’s but she would benefit from his assets too as his financial advisor. That was certain. Soon, she moved to medical companies, buying out hospitals, drug labs, and hospital equipment companies. At this point, Caelum was basically everywhere you could think of, even in the agriculture, cosmetics, fashion and tourism sectors. He suddenly stepped forward. “Can I have a two billion dollar funded stock trading account? I want to do some things.” Stacy was surprised at first. She wanted to dissuade him from doing it himself and convince him to leave it to the professionals. But she recalled that he got all that money without help. She signaled to one of the staff and he left the seat for Caelum. Caelum quickly sat down and began to buy out shares and companies. At first, she was impressed with his choice. But suddenly, he began to buy companies with low stock value, making her heart jump in alarm. “Sir, instead of Shengliang pharmaceuticals, how about you go for DB fashion?” “It will rise, don't worry.” Despite her misgivings, she kept quiet, and allowed him to continue buying out, and in thirty minutes, he had become the owner of numerous shopping malls and departmental stores, fashion companies, jewelry companies, even mining and transportation. Hell, he even bought stakes in oil and gas, renewable energy and innovative tech products. Even if he did nothing else for life, he would never be poor again. “This should be enough for now, let's watch the market before we continue tomorrow. Please set up bank accounts for me, not just personal, you should set aside a sizable sum for emergency acquisitions.” Even as Caelum softly gave instructions to them, he was still buying more cryptocurrency. He didn't have high hopes that they would rise like the previous night, he just wanted to keep them as an investment. By now, his original trading account had stopped rising and only had a hundred billion dollars worth of cryptocurrency in it. But it was more than enough. “Yes sir, I already prepared them. I also bought luxury items like a yacht, submarine, private jets, real estate and an Island, they're all good investments.” She hesitated for a while as if weighing her words carefully. Caelum looked up from the screen and noticed her expression, making him frown. He was not used to people walking on egg shells around him. “Do you have something to say?” “There are Oasis investment shares in the market. I'm currently buying it back, but I'm short on ready cash. Will you like to hold on to them? That would be better than letting it fall to a rival corporation.” “Of course, Oasis is one of the biggest corporations in the world. I will be honored to become a part of it.” A huge smile bloomed on her face and she felt like dancing. The huge lump on her throat that gave her sleepless nights for three days had been finally solved, in such a ridiculous way nonetheless. She quickly rattled off a set of instructions and a staff member returned with a platinum access bank card. She accepted it and offered it with both hands. “This is a platinum access card, with direct affiliation to the world bank. It can hold up to sixty billion dollars and there are only four of them in the entire world. I asked them to process it the moment we confirmed the authenticity of the trading account. Congratulations on joining the 0.01% of the world's elite.”
