After some convincing from Grace's father and not having enough evidence the New York Police Department decided to drop the charges against Charles, he was now a free man and could focus on his obligations to marry Grace and legitimize his unborn child. It was now the second week of November and Grace who was now four months along was starting to show, he felt the need to marry before she really started showing hence they were sitting at a courthouse waiting for a marriage officer to come and marry them.
