Josh couldn’t believe his ears. It was like listening to the sound of a train, rumbling on and on without stopping. He hadn’t been able to get a word in edgewise with his blind date, so he’d given up and just fiddled with his napkin instead.
It was definitely true that beauty wasn’t everything. Sophia was tall, with a face and body that his teammates on his college soccer team would have died for. But the minute she had opened her mouth, all she could talk about was herself, where she loved to shop, and all the famous people she had met.
At that moment, Josh felt sorry for all the folks in her life that must have been forced to endure her chatter. Ladies loved to talk, but this was way over-the-top. And did she really think he would be interested in her right pinky fingernail
