Chapter 13
Dana settled into the couch in her apartment and kicked off her shoes. Her feet hurt, and she rubbed them one after the other. Jasmine looked up from where she was reading on the living room floor. “You look nice. How was your date?” Jasmine said. Her gorgeous red hair was in a ponytail, and her lithe frame in her signature tank top and yoga pants.
Jasmine Banks was one of Dana’s roommates, the other being Alicia Montgomery who was now engaged to Blake Dexington. Jasmine had escaped the fair skin gene as a redhead thanks to her mixed heritage and had a lovely olive tone instead. She was a third-year obstetrics and gynecology resident at Dexington Medical Center where they all worked. Jasmine’s aunt owned the apartment they lived in, so it was a steal to rent.
