Dana kicked off her heels as she closed the door to their apartment. She was beyond exhausted and just wanted to fall into bed and take a long nap. She looked around the space that shared an open concept floor plan with the dining room and kitchen, and which boasted grand bay windows, a fireplace, crown molding, and a winding staircase that led to the upper floors.
She loved their little abode and the wonderful people she shared it with. She’d never had close friends before, not even when she was in college, but her roommates, Alicia and Jasmine, had become more than that—they were like the sisters she’d never had.
