WELCOME TO OLYMPUS

3| Welcome to Olympus RHEA'S EYES WIDENED in shock. Standing before her was a Goddess. Not just any Goddess but the Goddess of Wisdom herself. She quickly sat up from her bed as her face grew multiple shades of red from embarrassment. " O-Oh...I-I'm so sorry...I didn't know," she quickly apologized. The Goddess smiled. " It's alright child, you didn't know. " Rhea gave her a small smile, not knowing what to say next. What was she supposed to say? How's the weather? Her head still didn't fully comprehend whatever was happening right now. She just wanted to go home and watch a movie instead of...this. The Goddess clapped her hands, breaking the awkward silence. " Well...now that you're awake, you can finally meet the rest of the family. " Her face paled." W-What?" [♢] RHEA LOOKED AROUND in awe. If the room she woke up in was beautiful, outside it was even better. The walls looked like they were made of gold and the floors were white and shiny, it almost looked like they were made of pearls. The duo reached the end of the hall, where two huge golden doors stood. Chatter could be heard from behind it. Athena pushed them open while she tugged Rhea inside, ignoring the human's red face. Her eyes widened, cheeks flushing in embarrassment as she felt all eyes on her. I want to go home, she thought. " Rhea?" Her eyes swept across the room until it landed on familiar brown ones, making her let out a sigh of relief. " Henr- Apollo," she corrected herself. He grinned at her making Rhea feel at ease. She was glad to see a familiar face in such a strange place. " You must be Ándrhea Castellano," A voice boomed across the golden walls. Rhea only thought of one God who could emit such a powerful voice. Zeus gave her a small smile and urged her to come forward. Rhea stood still, scared to approach the most powerful being in the room. Well technically, they were all powerful, but Zeus being the God of the sky it made him slightly higher than the others. Athena gave her a small push, shaking her temporary paralysis off. She gulped as she slowly walked towards him. Her legs visibly shook as she approached the God, she hated the feeling of eyes following her, judging her. But there was a certain pair of eyes that made her feel like they were shoving knives at the side of her face. She hesitantly looked up only to meet a pair of hazel ones. The scowl was permanent on his perfect face but it did not waver his beauty. She found him attractive—well everyone in this room was attractive. But there was something different about this specific person, he looked undoubtedly scary as his piercing gaze made her heart beat even faster than before. " I see that you're awake now Ándrhea. " She cringed as he used her complete name. " Please, call me Rhea. " Zeus looked at her confused. " But Ándrhea is your name, is it not?" " Yeah, but I don't like it. So people tend to call me Rhea..." she replied. Her throat felt dry as she stood in his presence. It felt like a force was pushing her back, and as much as she wanted to crawl under something and hide away, she tried her best to keep still under the God's gaze. Zeus nodded. " Very well...Rhea," he tried out her name. " Do you know why you're here?" " I've been asking around but I'm afraid they don't want to want to tell me, " she answered truthfully. " Actually I'd want to know why the hell I'm here instead of knocking me out again!" she snapped as she glared at Apollo, her anger towards the sun God took over her fear. Hermes and a few Gods snickered at her comment. Apollo grinned sheepishly and mouthed a 'sorry'. The room filled with chatter as they heard the words that fell from the mortal's lips. A man stood up and glared daggers at her. " Enough! Father are you just gonna let this disrespectful mortal talk to you like that?! I'd be happy to smite her—" " You will not lay a finger on her Ares!" Apollo growled as he stood up as well. Ares scowled. " Oh you've gotten soft Apollo. What...have you taken a liking to this mortal?", he laughed incredulously. Apollo turned beet red, Rhea wondered if it was from embarrassment or from anger. " I do not fancy her Ares! " She didn't know why but her heart sunk as she heard him utter those words. Anger sparked through her veins as she stared at the quarreling Gods. " You do know that I'm standing here, right?" Ares scoffed. " And we care because?" was his childish reply. She clenched her fists in anger, forgetting that she was in front of a God...but not just any god, the God of War. " Well then, I guess I don't need to be here if you guys don't give a damn!" She mentally cursed to herself when she saw the anger flaring up the War God's eyes. " Then leave you insufferable-" " Don't you dare call me insufferable you...you-" The God snorted. " What? You ran out of words to say?" " You...you stupid overgrown ten year old!" she replied in anger. Her face probably looked like a ripe tomato but she didn't care at the moment. The God laughed humorlessly. " Ten year old? Love I'm a thousand years older than you!" he bellowed cockily. " Well I don't give a rat's ass how old you are!" The God turned red as his body filled with rage. He was itching to start a war this very moment and this mortal was not making it better. " How dare you, you incompetent little b-" " ENOUGH!" Rhea flinched as Zeus bellowed in anger. The War God's glare did not leave her as The God of the sky interrupted their banter. " Enough of this foolishness! Athena take your brother out of here," He ordered, his annoyance towards his son was clear as day. Athena nodded and led Ares out of the room but not before sending Rhea a guilty smile. " Sorry about my brother, he's an idiot." " What did you say?!" Ares growled at her but Athena simply pushed him out of the room. Rhea stared at the door in confusion. What the hell just happened? Laughter suddenly echoed from behind her, making everyone in the room whip their heads towards the sound. Hermes wiped off imaginary tears under his eye as he says, "Told you she'd be perfect for him!" He then sent her a wink as he gestured around the room. " Welcome to Olympus, sweet cheeks."
