Chapter 2

I've been at work for a few hours now and I've managed to get quite a bit of money in tips. It's also Saturday so all the rich business men are here tonight. I walked around with a try covered in drinks that people have ordered. Once my tray was empty I went and took more orders. I sighed once I reached the bar.     "Hey, hows it going?" Ace, our clubs bartender, asked.     "Good, just tired. I'm only running on a few hours of sleep and I also wanted to spend time with Hope." I replied.     "Yeah, I know tonight was supposed to be your night off. Well, at least you will be able to have a little extra money right?" he suggested, trying to get me to look on the bright side.     "I guess your right. It's just not fair, but hey, life's not fair. Anyway, do you have my drinks for me?" I asked. He nodded his head and began loading up my tray with drinks as I went back into the mass of men throwing out large amounts of money to women dancing on the stage.     Two hours later I was finally on my break. I sat at the bar as Ace handed me a tray of fries and wings. We serve some really good food here. Probably why our club is one of the best in the city.      As I was eating I felt a presence behind me. I turned my stool around to come face to face with a tall handsome, almost god-like man. I knew who he was. He was one of my regulars and paid me the most out of all of them. I never got his name, but he told me to call him Prince.     "Hello Mr. Prince." I smiled.     "Hey sweetheart. I didn't know you were working tonight." he stated taking a seat next to me.     "Well, I wasn't, but my boss called me in saying that one of the girls got sick and that no one else could come it. It sucks because I wanted to spend time with my baby." I pouted. He chuckled. Prince and I had grown close over the months I had been working here. I even told him about Hope. I thought he would have dropped me when he found out I had a child, but instead he just began spending more money on me. I must admit, I do have slight feelings for the man. I mean, has been the only guy to treat me right even after he found out I have a child. Most of the time that puts people off and I never hear back from the guys I go on dates with.     "Well, I guess I'm in luck because I want to talk to you about something." he stated.     "Sure, what about?" I asked.     "Not here. Come, let's go to one of the private rooms." he smiled as he gently led me to one of the private rooms. We sat down in the chairs and I turned to face Prince.     "So, what's this all about?" I asked.     "I'm going to be honest with you Violet. Your a beautiful girl and I want to offer you...well a job of sorts." he began.     "What kind of job?" I asked, a little hesitant.     "I want you to be my Sugar baby." he smiled. I was shocked what the hell is a sugar baby.     "Umm, what's a sugar baby?" I asked.     "A Sugar baby is a male or a female that gets paid in money, gifts or other things in exchange for company. In short I pay you a lot of money to be seen in public with mean. That means going to parties, going on dates, all that." he explained.     "Does it also mean I have to have s*x with you?" I asked.     "If we get that far than yes." he stated. I started blankly at Prince. The idea of being a sugar baby didn't sound bad. I would be able to buy a bigger house maybe with that money and ever get Hope everything she needs. I was thinking over the pros and cons in my head when Prince cleared his throat.     "I can see you are thinking about my offer and I'll do this. I'll give you one week to figure out what you want to do. Once that one week is up give this number a call and if you accept we can meet up and discuss a contract. Does that sound okay?" he asked.     "Yeah, sure." I smiled. He reached into his suit pocket and pulled out a small card. I looked at it and my eyes almost bugged out of my head. The man I have been calling Prince is in fact Xavier Prince. The multi-billionaire who owns, hotels, casinos, and other businesses all over the world. He is the richest man in the world. It was then that everything made sense. The name he asked me to call him, the massive amounts of money he would give just for a single lap dance. Everything. Without even thinking I said the first thing that came to my mind.     "Wait no I can't do this." I sighed as I tried to give him his card back.     "Why?" he asked seeming a little surprised.     "Because you are Xavier Prince. Your name alone could ruin me and my daughter for life. Plus, if you were ever to be seen with me out in public the slander that could come your way would be horrible. I don't want to ruin my name or yours." I sighed. He chuckled.     "Violet, I don't care what the press say. All they can say is that I knocked you up and that I am now a father. Your of age and of sound body and mind. Nothing will happen to me." he stated. I looked at the card in my hand. This could change my life forever. The money I can get from this man would have me and Hope set for life. I sighed and nodded my head.     "I'll take the week to think about it. Until than I ask that you don't come around. Seeing you might influence my decision and I want to be able to think about this long and hard." I pleaded.     "Of course. I hope to hear from you soon Violet." he smiled gently before walking out. Once he was gone I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding and sighed. Was this something I really wanted.      It's been almost a week since Xavier proposed the idea of me being his Sugar baby. I had finally told April about it and right now we are in my apartment going over a list of pros and cons.     "Wells, let's start with the pros." she stated. I nodded my head and pulled out a piece of paper. Pros *More money  *Chance at a better home *Being able to spend more time with Hope *Being able to provide things for myself *Being able to go back to school *Being able to put Hope through school     "Well, those are all good things. Maybe a list of cons will help." she sighed. I began writing on the other half of the page. Cons *No privacy *Scrutiny of the media/public *Chance of Xavier being sued *Hopes life forever being ruined April sighed.     "Vi, we're not getting anywhere like this. Listen, if I were you I would take the job. Think about Hope. The money you could earn would be able to get her all the things you are missing for her as well as be able to put her through school. Not to mention that you are also in desperate need of things as well. All your money goes towards bills, food, or Hope. You never buy anything for yourself and it's starting show." she sighed. I nodded my head and I racked my brain over and over again about the risks this could bring.     "Alright, I'll do it. For Hope and myself." I decided.     "Good girl. Now call that man up." she giggled as she grabbed my phone. I took the card out that Xavier gave to me and put the number into my phone. I hit the call button and out my phone to my ear. It rang a few times before Xavier's voice came through.     "Hello?" he asked.     "Xavier, hey, it's me. Violet." I smiled to myself.     "Ah, hello beautiful. What can I do for you and please tell me it has to do with you saying yes to my offer?" he asked.     "If fact it does. I am calling to tell you that I will accept your offer." I smiled.     "Wonderful. I'm so glad you agreed. Anyway, this Monday come to my office and I'll have an appointment set up with you. Just say your name to the front desk and they'll let your through. We can talk about about the contract than. Does that sound Okay?" he asked.     "Yeah, that sound okay." I smiled.     "Great, see you Monday than darling." he replied before hanging up.     "Girl I am so proud of you." April laughed. I laughed as well, but we were cut short when I heard Hope begin to cry.
