Chapter Seventeen
Chase
After four days and nights of not being able to see each other due to my crazy work schedule, I was overjoyed to come home and find Arabella in my bed. She was fast asleep, so I went to the closet to see if she’d brought her clothes in or if she was just there for one night.
She’d made space for her things on one side of the large walk-in closet. I noticed that she didn’t have much in the way of clothing. Unsure if she’d finished moving in all of her things, I went out to the cottage to pick up anything she’d left. I thought that there had to be more that she just hadn’t moved yet.
When I opened the closet, I found all the clothes and shoes were gone, but there was a box at the top of the closet. I didn’t mess with it, though. I felt that she must’ve wanted to k
