Chapter Twenty-Four Arabella Not wanting to leave the house, I’d made a track around the property so I could run the dogs at home, where I felt the safest. The stress of my situation was getting to me hardcore. I needed the run as much as they did. Running in the heat without the wind and water to splash in to cool off was hard on me, though. My face was bright red when I came into the house after putting the dogs back into their kennel. Standing in a cold shower, I let the water wash over me, cooling my body down.
